Emmett just smiled at the overt display of defensiveness, but kept to himself. Ah to be a teenager. Fun times. Still, he pretended not to notice for his 'daughter.'
"Headmistress? Does that mean I'm Headmaster now? Because that would be... bracing to say the least." Emmett joked lightly.
"Forgive the questioning, love. I only want to know more about your life here, life here in general." He said with a little nod. "I do hate to look like a simpleton."
When the waiter came around, he offered a fake smile and ordered something that sounded heartbreaking-ly healthy, then looked at the girl. "Go crazy, order what you'd like. Hell, order something off the menu if you'd like. I have a feeling they'll make it anyway." He said, giving the waiter a knowing look.
