It was all so simple to him, he didn't get what the big deal was, why they couldn't just agree to get married and be done with it.
"Come here, son." Cian put his arms out for Ellery to come to his lap. "I know you mean well, and I'm not saying it'll never happen, but you can't rush things like marriage. I know you like Remy, and I think what you're doing is very sweet, but if we decide to get married, it has to be our choice."
Ellery's bottom lip stuck out. He wasn't quite pouting, but he didn't really know what to say, either.
