Maison stretched, having finished stowing their leftovers from Brenda, they didn't have an actual fireplace at the flat, but they did have a yule log video, which made him laugh, and candles here and there, which he'd already lit, snapping off the overhead as he padded back into the main room, sprawling himself onto the sofa.
He couldn't help but smile at the Christmas branch, it had turned out well, even with only enough space for a few ornaments, a solitary string of lights and a coil of garland, aside from the wrapper chain that had been in Brend's box of decorations.
They'd already exchanged gifts, both first thing that morning, and then again at Brend's parents' place. But Maison still had one last thing, he'd hung it on the Christmas Branch on the way out, and was mostly waiting to see if Brend would spot the key on his own.
