Daniel's social skills were a bit lacking, given that he hadn't really been around people much. He was adjusting to his new life, but he tended to keep to himself. He wasn't even sure why he'd posted a message on the boards, but it had gotten a response which led to an invitation to meet and walk with a beautiful woman.

Not just any one, she was Hedone. Goddess of Pleasure. Daniel changed his clothes to something a bit more proper, before heading to meet Hedone at Hyde Park. He carried with him a copy of Heart Of Darkness to give her, because they had spoken briefly about the book. He kept it in a small bag, which he carried on his arm.

Arriving at the entrance to the park, Daniel spotted Hedone and trotted over to her. "Good evening, my lady."

Hedone was sitting on a bench waiting for Daniel to arrive and was having a grand time smelling a winter blooming flower. It was a lovely little thing, just fighting to survive the cold. At his words, she looked up and gave him a lovely smile.

"And to you, my lord." Standing, she leaned forward and gave him two gentle kisses one on each cheek. "Thank you for coming out with me."

"I wouldn't wish to be anywhere else, just now." Daniel offered her his arm. He was a gentleman, if nothing else. He may not have had much practical experience socialising with others, but he had learned quite a lot from reading books.

"I do think the weather is perfect for walking," he said, though that was far from true. The temperature was cold, already his cheeks were bright pink from the chill.

She took his arm as they began to walk along the path.

"Oh, I completely agree. But then I like all weather. Something about a chill that gets the blood pumping." Hedone glanced behind her to make sure her tag-a-longs were staying an appropriate distance behind her. "I'm sorry but I had to bring along some company. It seems the husband I acquired when I came here is very protective of me. I told them you were my cousin. Which is, pretty true."

	Daniel shook his head. "It isn't that, I do so love learning. But the classroom setting is not quite my idea of how it ought to be." He wasn't a snob, really. He was technically uneducated. Everything he knew, he simply knew. He'd gone from infant to full grown in a matter of moments, with many of the blanks filled in by forces unknown even to him. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

As a demonstration she stopped walking, held out her hand and conjured up the pretty flower she'd been admiring earlier. She tucked it into the button hole of his jacket. "Anything?" 	She nodded her head then led him to another bench and sat down with him. Taking the flower from his button hole, she put it back into the palm of her hand. "Alright. 	He closed his eyes and did as she suggested. He experienced a couple of false starts before he reigned his focus in enough to stay calm long enough to think about the flower.
