Another miniature deck of cards was tugged out of a pocket, he set it in front of her, "Here, watch first and then see if you can do it." He shuffled his own deck once before flipping a card end over end across his fingers, from pinky to thumb, when it went under his thumb it was a three of diamonds, when it came up on his pinky again it was a six of spades.

The six of spades became the jack of hearts, then the ten of hearts, then the two of clubs, "Now you try." He said, squaring the deck away and setting it down again.
