Henn was between cycles at the moment, which meant she was about as settled as she usually got, though she was creeping up on the second half, which left her more prone to random acts of huggery than she usually was.

She was also back to her usual sleep cycle, which was catnaps throughout the day, at that particular moment she'd just woken from one to realize just how late it was, which meant the rest of the house was likely tucked in bed asleep. Which of course meant it was the perfect time for her to get some gift-wrapping done.

She put on the CD she'd given Cass the year before, quietly, so as not to disturb anyone, but loud enough that she could sing along softly as she worked, sprawled out on the rug in front of the fireplace, using a TV tray as a wrapping board.

	Soren managed to navigate the stairs from his room down to where he knew Henn was. He had his gifts for his family in tow - excepting Henn and Cass and Brend, of course - and the stack covered up his vision. "I am going to walk into a wall. This isn't my best plan ever." (Reply to this)

Henn smiled, stopping singing along to look up, "No, you're good, two more steps and then about five feet, then there's that corner behind the couch."

She was comfortable, really, wearing her new favorite PJs, her butterfly ones. The ones with sticks and pats of butter as well as overlarge houseflies on a pale blue background. She was laying on her stomach, propped up on one of the couch pillows, feet swinging along with the music.

	"hee, cellotape." Was her only reply, swinging herself around upright to give him some space in front of the still-warm hearth, "Sure, I'll be in charge of the tape if you let me use your fingers to tie ribbons." (Reply to this)

	"Of course! I don't know how to tie ribbons, but I'm pretty good at setting my finger down in a stationary place." He grinned and stretched his legs out, reaching out for a roll of wrapping paper. (Reply to this)

	She grinned at that, "You do the tape, I'll do the ribbons, deal?" Her voice was still low, not wanting to wake anyone up. Most of the housemates gifts were already wrapped and stored away at the Guildhall for later. Right now she was wrapping gifts for the family and for Torii, who'd commissioned her for her wrapping expertise. (Reply to this)

	"That works." He grinned and took the roll of tape, tearing off a middling sized piece and putting it on a fingertip. He repeated the process until all five of his fingers were taped. "Ready, Cap'n." (Reply to this)

	She chuckled at that, shaking her head as she finished creasing the corners on the package she was working on, turning it so he could tape the end of the paper down while she creased the other side, "You're adorable." (Reply to this)

	There was another chuckle at that, shaking her head and leaning up to kiss his cheek, "You totally are, especially when you do the Galinda hair-toss like that. It suits you." She was humming along with the CD again as she wrote out the label on the gift, sliding the next square of paper over to wrap the next Torii Box O'Mystery™ (Reply to this)

	She nodded, "He does get kind of melty when you splash him. Though usually it's more the sad puppy face kind of melty." She shook her head then, bumping his shoulder with her own and holding out the package for him to tape, "And you're not that pink." (Reply to this)

	"I can show you some tricks, if you like." She shrugged, "Basically it's all about presentation, line up the edges so there's no visible seams, that kind of thing, precision work." Once the ends were taped she ran the back of her fingernail quickly along all the corners to crease the paper just a little more sharply, it was an easy, practiced movement. (Reply to this)

	She laughed softly at that, shaking her head and reaching up to ruffle his hair. Of course that turned into leaning up to kiss his temple, mostly just because she could, "There you go being adorable again." 	Another smile at that, just sitting back down, leaning against him, "Well then that's an even better reason to keep me around." 	"That sounds like a fair trade." She smiled again, "And I'm done with that phase now, wasn't too bad this year, didn't have to bite anybody or anything, which I'm pretty sure is a new record." She was wrapping while she talked, there was a reason Torii had commissioned her to do the wrapping for her gifts, apparently. (Reply to this)

	Henn cringed at that, and instead of trying to explain that it hadn't been his fault, she shook her head, "Hold still, I'll get it." And she did, working carefully, holding each taped section close to his scalp to make sure there wasn't tension while she peeled the tape off again as best she could. (Reply to this)

He winced, and pouted his lower lip, but it was a testament to how much he loved Henn that he didn't whine at all or make any noises, even though he wanted to. "Thank you," he murmured, smiling a little to himself when she finished.

He was smiling because he'd bought her something that he wasn't planning on giving her until New Year's Eve. It was a ring and a necklace to wear it on.
