359's black mage guy had luckily been successful on his first try, but not without a tremendous effort, and not without a lot more demons getting through in the time it took. Big ones, small ones, flying and earthbound, demons riding other demons. Now the problem with sealing up the portal was that once it was done, everything that had just come through noticed immediately and the portal disappeared, leaving nothing to take cover behind. The majority marched on, deterred by nothing in their quest to bring down Mordhaus. But those in the very rear, whose tails or limbs had been nearly caught up in the process of closing the gate, wheeled to face those who were responsible.
The Klokateer glanced at the specialist. His posture was sagging even faced with monsters, he was swaying, barely able to stand. Must be drained nearly completely. He wouldn't be making it back, then. Her opponents didn't give her much time to think about it.
She was thrown immediately on the defensive as they all came at once. There wasn't anything she could have done when he fell to his knees and was ripped apart. But she, she kept moving, axe singing, limbs flying, blood splashing. This is where she belonged, and it felt so good. The burns on her skin were just a bright reminder that she was alive.

He hadn't had much of a chance to check out the newest atrocity as he needed to deal with those around him first. As Teja cut down an important few and Offdensen finished the rest of the immediate annoyance, he was able to get a glimpse of it. Three heads.
"I agree," he replied steadily. "Then let's take it down now while there's more than one of us." He stopped to snatch a second sword similar to his own right out of a demon's hands after he decapitated it, before it had even hit the ground. "You go left, I'll go right." As a team they'd attack the thing from both sides. Now with a sword in each hand he started to carve his way towards the main horror.
