Lois was doing her best to choose her words carefully tonight. "I want another chance with you. To see what we could've had with no secrets between us. And just see where it goes. But I need time, because I can't try to force it." Truth be told, she'd be disappointed if she didn't fall for him again, but how many times could she and still have any part of her heart left if they were separated again?
She kept glancing up into his piercing gaze, found it was too intense, and glanced back down again. Her eyes fell on his midsection and she found her mind wandering idly again and wondered if he was still in great shape as he was several years ago. Of course he was, his body was always in perfect shape. She didn't quite know what she'd been missing until he'd given her those memories back. Perfectly shaped and toned muscles, moving and shifting under soft, smooth skin...
Oh, she had to stop. It was a good thing Superman had never been a mind reader. But he might catch on to any nervous glances she might accidentally send his way. Wildly, a part of her thought maybe they should have a go at it and get the tension out of the way for awhile. But she'd never do that to him. She wouldn't be with him again until she was sure. Until then, it didn't hurt to replay some memories.
