"Me too," she said softly. She was still sorting through things. She'd tried to move on twice, now, with long separations from him, and as a result, she was confused every time she looked at him. She knew she'd always love him, in some form or another, whether it was platonic or something else. They'd shared too much together and even had a child together for that to go away.
But the something else part was what was confusing her. One minute she wanted to flirt, the next she just wanted to be friends and partners, the next she was remembering his lips and hands on her in the Fortress and her mouth went dry and her heart rate sped up and she was staring at him before she jerked herself out of those memories. Like she'd done just now. And if she admitted it deep down she was afraid if she let herself fall in love with him again, he'd leave her or this place would take him from her. But now she knew time was short. And since this place was capable of taking him from her, she'd do her best to get over the fear so that they didn't waste any more time.
"Is there anything you want to ask me?" she said after a minute.
