Lois reflected how it was a little odd to be sharing a meal and talking about something as ordinary as her moving while he sat across from her in his Superman suit, talking to her as Clark.
"New York. I think the building you suggested that's close to yours. I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but Jason deserves to be near his father and this will..." She paused and glanced down.
"The memories you gave back to me, they keep popping up like they're new ones, like that all just happened. And I'm in love with you all over again and want to pick up right where we left off... then I remember we can't. That was over six years ago and things have changed and there was Jason and Richard and the vortex and living here. I need to slow down and not let my feelings and memories take over, no matter how much I want them to. You saw what happened. I jumped in too quickly, got scared, hurt you in the process. I just need time. But it's not fair, because we've lost so much time already, and the whole cycle starts over again in my head."
