Henn's godfather of sorts had vanished into the ether, but she had a demi-minime to make up for it, which was as close to balance as she was going to get, so that meant that this was both celebration and mourning, and the only thing she could think of to do was make caramel pretzels.

Just at that moment she was in the kitchen, humming to herself as she balanced rolos on top of pretzels on a cookie sheet, head bobbing to whatever music was on her earphones at the moment, she was wearing her skull and crossbones apron and her PJs, she liked being able to wear PJs all day.

	Henn nodded, "And it's a good thing I didn't go with the 'worst fears' theme too. Might try for 'favorite hero' or something next year, just in case." Maison, likewise, was staying quiet about that one, though he did smile crookedly as he poked at his soup with a breadstick. (Reply to this)

	"I'm not really sure how to dress up as 'speed' or 'dying alone and unloved', and I'd look odd dressed as my mother. I'd have to go as Pappa or Cass at that point." He shrugged and sipped his wine, turning to look at Brend. "Which look? I'm not looking like anything!" Brend blinked and took a larger-than-necessary bite of breadstick. (Reply to this)

	"That look like you're the cat who just got into the canary cage, mate." He raised his other brow and turned to Maison. "Of course it is, we'd just have to keep it adults-only. Well... Legal adults only. Or else giggles here wouldn't be allowed in." He poked Soren lightly and smiled before going back to his soup. (Reply to this)

	"What I am," Soren grinned, perfectly mimicking Cass' accent, "is a lovable scamp with boyish good looks. You, sir, know better than anyone that I'm of age." He grinned and joined in the staring at Brend and Maison. Brend folded his arms. "You know, I always wondered about that saying? Why not just let the canary out?" (Reply to this)

Henn rolled her eyes, "That's not how a come-as-you-are party works. And I always learned that saying as 'the cat that ate the canary' no cage involved there." A crooked smile, "And allow me to shed a little light on the subject at hand." She cleared her throat, sitting just a little straighter in her chair before proclaiming: "Guest bedroom." With a nod.

Maison laughed, shaking his head and shrugging one shoulder, "Won't deny it."

"Ah, yes, but are you mentally of age, princess? That's the point I'm trying to make. As for you two, that makes entirely perfect sense. No harm in being nude at the time. Though I do wish I'd thought of it first." He smiled slightly and finished his soup, leaning back with his glass of wine, looking over at his family.

He was truly lucky.

"Well, no, though. I doubt that would've worked for me, since most of that costume was from the neck up and hard to take off." He rubbed his goatee, still amazed he got the weaved-in extensions out without having to cut his goatee off altogether.

	"I will never be mentally of age in the way you're thinking. I'm a goofball. So nyah. And how do they work, Hennhenn?" Soren looked at her, blinking. "Not really been to a lot of theme parties." 	Henn shrugged, "Generally they go by what you're wearing and-slash-or doing when you get the invitation. At least, that's the way I've always heard them going, could be I just made that up because I've never been to one." Maison smiled, "In our defense, it's not like we did it on purpose. Well, no, we did, we just didn't know not becoming whatever would be the side effect." (Reply to this)

"Thank you Brend, and there's no reason to defend yourself, Maise, you know about as well as anyone that sex needs no defense. Hell, it could've very well been the last time you'd have a chance, being Halloween and all." He chuckled and swirled his wine, smiling knowingly.

"So we'll just have to make sure not to RSVP while fucking, and we won't have issue at the soiree. That takes care of that."
