Who: Gaala and Tej
What: Epic Dragon Battles
Where: Mordhaus, Mordland
When: Now-ish
Warnings: Nope. Well, maybe if you don't understand Skwigelvian.

Tej had been walking to the library with a book when he was stopped by his biological father, who told him that Skwisgaala was bored. Well, being the child of neverending cures for boredom, Tej knew just the thing. He tucked the book away in a corner, near a shelf when he got to the library, and rushed to Gaala's room, smiling just a tiny bit when he knocked quietly on her door, and then stood back, with his back straight, shoulders squared, and hands behind his back, waiting for an answer.

The guitarist had given up on getting help from people on the computer, and had defaulted to her usual way of passing the time, though she'd gotten bored of guitar within a few minutes, and had instead decided to sharpie-paint her fingernails, silver, since that was totally more metal than black.

"Is opens." She called, though she added, "Unless you's is dat guy who ain't Charlene, and maybe is being on a robots, you can just goes away."

In he walked, quiet and unassumingly small, with a shock of well-coiffed blood red hair. Tej stood quietly and waited while she finished coloring one fingernail before speaking. He spoke quietly, but well, and slowly enough where each word would be understood, even by Gaala.

"I have figurines of medieval warriors and a big figure of a dragon if you want to play dragon fights with me. It would give you something to do, Ms. Skwigelf."

She admired her handiwork, wiggling her fingers, "Ja, dat's is sounding on like maybe a good kinds of idea." She actually looked at him then, starting and blinking, "Whoa! You gots all snacksize, how's a hell is that happen?"

She had yet to see both Tejas in one room, after all, and even if she had she'd probably written it off as too much booze.

"I'm the young one, Ms. Skwigelf." He didn't mind going through this every time Gaala forgot, although he wondered how she couldn't tell them apart by voice alone yet. He smiled faintly, "I have them set up in my play room if you want to come along, or I can have a klokateer bring them in here if you'd like."

He didn't like giving Gaala choices, because he had realized that choices confused her. But on the other hand, she was sort of nice, and once they got all the being smart out of the way, she was actually kind of fun.

"Ohhh, right." She nodded then, unfolding and stretching, popping the cap back on the sharpie and leaving it on her desk where she'd found it, not entirely sure where it had come from before that, "Leads a way little-dude."

Mostly she was good at playing because Tori was good at playing and roped everyone into it as often as possible, and Gaala had figured out that sometimes preemptive playtime was better than waiting for a sneak-attack.

Tej nodded and took Gaala's hand, leading her to his play room which was only a few doors down from hers. It was well designed for a child of the most brutal band in existence. The entire room was in the guise of an ancient magician's lair, with ambient lighting coming from hard-to-tell sources, and boxes and treasure chests hid in corners under bookshelves stacked to the brim with what looked to be grimoires and books of historical importance when they were simply storybooks. And out, at the center of the room, were indeed figurines of little warriors, holding all manner of tiny weapons, and a large, well-designed, beautifully crafted dragon. They all were set up near a miniature castle that was to scale with the figurines, including a little princess in a tower, and a king on one of the balconies.

Tej plopped himself down near the entire scene and smiled, setting the scene, "The great castle guard was not expecting for an attack by the ferocious dragon of the mountains! They saw plumes of smoke coming from afar and quickly sounded the alarm!" He rang a tiny church bell in the castle, and then shuffled a couple of the warriors around, "They all got their armor on, preparing for full on war!"

Gaala flopped down on her stomach, pushing the dragon further away, after all, it was supposed to be in the mountains of Afar, wherever that was, "And whiles all of a warrior-knights was having a girdings-on with the armors, the King says at his daughter: 'You should stays inside, where it's is being safe!' and she says at him," and here she used a tiny, high-pitched voice: "'You cant tells at me what to do! And beside, if I's is am going to be King somesday I's is going to have to learn to defends a castle from any old dragons anyway!' and she went insides to get ready to fights off de dragon too."

Tej held back an outright smile at Gaala's voice of the Princess, but moved the warriors into position, "The castle guard got to their posts, some to the hot oil cauldrons on the top of the castle walls, and the archers to their hidden holes where they could chance an attack at the vicious beast. The king knew that the princess would be in danger, because dragons eat princesses, that's just about all they eat except for maybe horses sometimes, and the King stopped his daughter and said," and he used as low a voice as his tiny body allowed, "No, princess, you'll be eaten!" And even as Tej spoke in the king voice, he scowled like he supposed a king would in that situation.

"But the castle was well armed," spoke the little boy, "by hundreds of soldiers, and they all awaited the scary, large dragon. Tension was high, and they were all ready to attack, save for one..." And here he pouted and put the soldier figurine that he'd forgotten to put into line, "But now he's ready, okay."

Gaala shook her head, "Dat guy's gonna get eats on for sure." She commented before taking over for the princess once more, "Dat princess was a preeeetty smart kinds of girl tho, and she had a secret kinds of plan about how to catch dat dragon with a magicals apple. Because she knews about how dragons is always eat an applestree after dey pillages and burns a place, is for cleans de armors out of de teeths." She shrugged, "So de princess says: 'oh o-KAY fines, I's is just going to stays insides of de keep, you never lets me have any fun and I hates you.' she didn't means it, it was all being just a parts of her plan."

She grinned, "And den WHOOOM, de dragons appear over a tops of de hilltops, swoopings in for a strafes-of-fire!"

The offside comment got Tej to wryly smirk as he tutted and shook his head at the poor, doomed soldier. "Too bad, he was just about to be promoted." He turned his head to face the dragon and lined up two archers to face it as well, "Ah, but the archers are swift with their arrows and know that dragons hate getting shot at by them. They're safe behind the walls of the castle but alas, the first line of infantry out the door, with their swords in hand, burn up with the scorching flames that sear their flesh off the bone. This one here died screaming "aaagh, I smell like pooork!" and that was the end of him." Tej tossed the little figurine over his shoulder and into the toy bin that he kept them in.

She chortled at that, swinging herself around to sit crosslegged then so she could actually get at what was going on, "Now dat dragon was really angry, all fulls of arrows like a guy who is gets stuck by a porcupines! And WAAAARUGH! De dragon roared a mighty roars to shakes de castle like an earthquakes!"

Obliging that desire, Tej moved to shake the castle faintly, and that toppled a dozen figurines off of it, onto the floor. "Ohhh the pain!" He groaned and made dying-man noises for all of the 'deaths' that occurred to the poor plastic people. He picked up one of the ones that didn't fall off the castle, and he said, "one valiant knight was not so easily killed off by the dragon's awful, loud, scary roar! He brandished his," and he had to turn the figure to see exactly what kind of weapon it was, "completely wrong-time-period broadsword and stood in wait for the dragon to get closer. He knew that he didn't have much time because the dragon could spit acid and breathe fire, but he was in on the princess' plot. He only needed to stall it. So! He leaped from the wall of the castle, into the air and grabbed onto the dragon's horn, swinging himself up! He stabbed his sword from the future into the eye of the beast, half blinding it!"

She shook her head, "Now de dragon was in pains and angry and tried to shakes de knight off of its head like a cat with a waters, but he was holds on too good! Now, dat princess was almost finish with her spells." She snagged the princess, setting her on top of the wall, "And when she does de whole orchard gots a magic on it to make de dragon all tires out and sleepy, so she stands up onna rampspart and says: 'hey you dragon! I bet you gots a reeeeal hungry doing alls of dat pillagings! Come and gets me!' and den she runs off, and hooboy dat girl can runs, like a cheetas! zoom! Alls of de way to de orchards with de magicals sleeping apples in, and she hides up in a tree and she says: 'oh no Dragon, I guesses at you is gonna have to eat alls of dese deeelicious apples to finds where I am hiiiding!'"

Tej took a hold of the dragon then, and waddle-stomped it across the floor, "The half-blinded dragon finally freed itself of the brave knight, who was no worse for the wear, but it knew a princess when it saw one, and when the princess ran off and climbed into the tree, it stomped after her, and let out another roar, like this 'WAAAARUGH!', just like that! It could smell her in the tree, and her taunting it only made it more angry! so it snapped up the branches of the big apple tree, one by one, snap snap snap, taking the branches and leaves and apples all at once and swallowing them, trying to get the princess!"

The story really intrigued Tej, who was obviously really enjoying himself. But he could feel himself getting hungry, too, so he hoped Gaala wouldn't object to dinner after this was over.

"Dat princess was pretty smart." She said, nodding, "And she knews not to stay up a tree when a dragons was chomping on it! Even one all fulls of a magical sleeping apples! So fwump, she falls out of it and stays close at de trunk parts, and waits for does apples to work."

She shrugged, "Now, dat princess was pretty smart about a lottakinds of thing, but she's is wasn't really all dat smart about a dragons, dragons is magics, so a magics spell aint' gonna work on dem! So once dat dragon finished up eatings on dat tree, CHOMP! He ate up dat princess too!"

That got a tiny, dark smile out of Tej, who chuckled. "And of course, that got the king really, really mad so he foolishly tried to run at the dragon and slay it all by himself. But he was old and weak, and the dragon didn't even have to do anything but just stand there and the old king had a heart attack and died, right there." He toppled the figure, and shrugged. "Well, with the king dead, and his only heir to the throne gone, the only person left in charge was that brave knight that stabbed the dragon in the eye. So he told aaaall the soldiers to run to the safety of the barracks, where there were tunnels underground that led to a safe place under a mountain. And that warrior became king."

He smiled faintly, "Not that he had much of a kingdom after that day, though, because that dragon burned the castle down, took all the gold and treasures, and hoarded it all up in its lair, far away in the mountains."

"So now they's a whole tribe-kingdom of cave-warriors, fightings against alls of de other things dat lives in a caves, liiiiike, a bears and a vampspirebats and a albonnos softshell turtles and stuff. And dat dragon liveds happily everafter with alls of his treasure and his totally metals eyepatch." She nodded decisively then, sitting back once more.

"Good! Let's go get dinner." He stood up then and stretched, looking around at the vaguely strewn mess he made of the play room, before shrugging. Either he'd clean it up later, or a klokateer would. "I think maybe you're just in time to eat with the rest of the band. And my mom should be ready to eat dinner, too. Thanks for playing, Ms. Skwigelf."
