Upstairs wouldn't be devoid of another body for long. Thomas had never been to this particular coffee shop, and the upstairs of a coffee shop intrigued him. He figured that would be where the pretty young girls would be, and he was a bit disappointed to find it more or less empty.

The energy coming off the barista was lackluster at best, but he figured he'd get a little thrill from brushing his hand against hers, when he accepted the pumpkin spice latte he ordered. He wasn't wrong, and in fact her entire demeanor shifted by several degrees when he approached the counter.

He took his drink a moment later, leaving the girl smiling, and slid into a seat not far from the upstairs cafe's only other occupant. He expected her to start throwing herself at him any moment.
