Who: Calliope Sedant and Mephisto.
What: Pretty vampire and misplaced demon chit-chat.
When: Shortly after Mephisto's arrival.
Where: Wherever Mephisto decides.
Warnings: Honestly? Yeah, but I don't know what. Yes.



Calliope had just enough time to put on her boots and grab her briefcase before she felt the tug of Mephisto's summoning. She closed her eyes as she was taken, trying not to move too much so he would have an easier time of things. She didn't know what he could possibly need that she could help with, but what he wanted, she'd supply.

Mephisto had made his way to this realm by the same method that everyone else had. He'd been sitting under one of the twisted, barkless, bare-branched trees from which hung a dozen tortured souls of men and women that committed suicide, working on his latest sewing project - another coat made entirely of human skin, threaded with their sinew. It was the same project that he was still working on once Calliope arrived, as the people he summoned usually did - immediately.

He was sitting with one ankle hooked up over his other knee, the coat spread over his lap, as he worked the thick needle through the tough, tanned skin. "I was almost expecting it," his voice was no higher than in his own realm as he turned his head to face Calliope, low like it was spoken from the depths of Hell itself, "but to be perfectly frank with you, I wasn't expecting it just that moment. Calliope, be a dear and look around to see if anything of mine is still around. I can't be without my methods." Of course, he meant his weapons of torture - he could still rend flesh from bone with his talon-like nails, or simply boil off the meat with his caustic saliva, but he preferred simply to have his knives, flails, whips, chains, and other necessities that he appreciated for the novelty.

The home in which he had found himself was practically ridiculous for his demeanor. It was the home of someone who obviously had a family - with cheerful curtains, a bay window, and even a happy little breakfast nook. There were three storeys to the place, not including the basement, but including the attic.

And of course, his family, or the one he'd come into, was dead at his feet. He shifted his position and rested his feet on the carcass of an irish setter.

She blinked as she landed in the adorable little suburban house. Her lips quirked up into a tiny smile, and she bit the lower one to keep from giggling. The smell of the blood made her stomach growl, but upon receiving orders from him, she nodded, and started to fan out, starting on the bottom floor and working up. Once she reahed the attic, she hit paydirt, bouncing down the stairs in her spike heels and smiling. "Found your whip!" She held it out for him until he took it, not wanting to interrupt him mid-stitch.

"At least, I hope it's yours."

He listened closely to Calliope's movements, able to tell where she was at all times in the small home, his keen ears keeping track of her every move. When she bounced down the stairs and held out the whip, he easily took it as if he had sight to see where it was, and held it for a brief moment, checking the length and width of it. "It is mine." He concluded with a nod. "Good work, Calliope. I should be so kind as to reward you for your help."

With a slow and deliberate movement, as if he wasn't used to the density of the air in this realm, he stood, and set aside his sewing, draping it over the arm of the chair. "I'm sure you're aware that the Kingdoms below are just now starting to settle down after the turmoil of losing one of our princes. But before he left, he left us all a little present. There's a small sect of Satanists who'd become quite ill. Nothing deadly - pity, really - but their suffering has fed me for quite some time. Would you like to dine tonight? Their blood is rich, and you're immune."

"Oh, good!" Calliope was pleased that it really was his, and not some sort of prop or cheap replica of a bullwhip. Watching him move, she felt her hands go behind her back, oddly docile for her, but understandable, considering who she was with.

She didn't feel a reward was necessary, but his suggestion made her smile and nod. "Yes, please. Thank you." She didn't know why she felt that she owed him her loyalty - likely because she knew he'd own her immortal soul when she eventually died the final death.

"If it were not for you, I would have been fumbling for it myself for ages. I do not like such cramped quarters." He stood in front of her - oddly average in height, in his human form - and the world spinned and was replaced by a snow covered front lawn of a rather dismal looking modular home. On the door up the front steps, there was a sign which read 'no solicitors' and had an inverted pentagram underneath it. The demon made his way up the little walkway, and simply phased through the door, opening it from the inside for Calliope.

The home was dismally dark on the inside. Black curtains hung over the windows, and the walls were smoke stained. The place smelled like stale, rotted food and years of cigarettes, as well as the faint smell of sickness that permeated throughout. Mephisto walked into a room in the back, and crossed his arms. "You've been trying to summon me," he spoke, startling a greasy-haired man with a freshly amputated leg.

"Donovan Carmell, I would like for you to meet my associate, Calliope. You've long prayed to your dark God to take away your misery, while lying to others and yourself that you were getting better. While it is not my place to judge you, your soul has been mine since you started following me. Calliope, dear," he said, taking a step back, allowing her room.

"And I don't like this decor." Calliope was teasing, but then the world was spinning and she blinked at the other house. Following wordlessly, she idly looked at her surroundings once she'd entered.

It struck her as fantastically stupid to want to summon a demon, but she supposed not everyone was as smart as her. Smiling at the pet name Mephisto used, Calliope nodded, moving to straddle the man and lightly stroke his neck with a fingernail. When he shivered, one of his veins throbbed a bit more to light, and she smiled. She wondered what he'd been dying from, but - and this was where she questioned her own judgement - she trusted Mephistopheles - she leaned forward and sunk her fangs into the man's jugular. He was rich, and she hummed in contentment as she sucked.

The man had cysts growing in his limbs - he had a rather awful case of MRSA, which although was incredibly contagious to the living, would have no affect on Calliope.
Mephisto looked on, standing still as he asked, "Was it truly worth it, Donovan? Was following me the answer to your pain? Does it hurt less now? How do you feel."
It was amusing to him that the human still seemed compelled to answer even as Calliope was feeding. The human spoke in stilted, pained stutters that he wanted to die, that he wished to repent and that got a cold, chilling smile to come to Mephistopheles' face. "Oh, but it's too late, now. You've sinned. Your sins will not be forgiven in time to save you, unless Jesus himself were to show up, smite me again, and take you to his pretty little luau in the sky. But he's busy. I'm afraid, my pet, that you'll have to accept the fact that you're simply just another seed I'll plant later. Calliope, precious, do the man a favor and show him precisely why what he's doing isn't suffering."

Since her case was somewhere he could reach, and knew precisely where it was, Mephisto summoned it and it landed on the desk nearby.

Calliope listened to Mephisto as he spoke, impressed that she could hear his voice over the throbbing drum of the human's fading heartbeat. She leaned back so the human could be more easily understood, licking some errant blood off of her rouged lips.

When her briefcase landed within reach, Calliope smirked a little and stood. "Sir, it seems to me that you've spent your whole life dabbling in religion. It just so happens that I too have read much. I grew up in a world that was very, very steeped in it - moreso than people are now - and I carry around a few things. They're from before my time, but still. I'm a girl that figures hey, if it's not broken, why fix it?"

Letting her hair down, she reached out for something that looked like a large, dual-pronged fork. "I wasn't around for the Inquisition, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the creativity of the old masters. This was used on heretics. I think we can all chuckle a little, given our current situation." She moved closer, trailing two of the sharp prongs up the man's stomach, barely drawing blood, before jamming one end into his sternum. "I'm glad I'm strong, a human must have worked to get that into the bone. Stop moving your head, dearheart." She took his head in one hand, holding it supernaturally tight, and then moved the fork below his jaw, pushing hard enough that metal poked under his tongue. "There we go. And no major veins cut, so you won't be bleeding out. Given past trials, we could all sit and chat for a few days."

Mephisto took a seat on the desk beside Calliope's briefcase and listened intently to the suffering of the other man. He could feel it, smell it, feed upon it. He was hungry after showing up here, and he didn't properly get to feed on the family he killed. He simply couldn't have them in the way. The child's voice had pierced his eardrums with its high, loud tone, and the mother was far too nagging. As for the dog? Well, he didn't like animals in general. But this man was ripe for his feasting. He could hear every movement Calliope made, and could see her in his mind's eye, straddling the poor, misguided, tortured little pet in the chair. He didn't mind letting her have all the fun, though he did consider, for a brief moment, to share in it, as well as feed.

He considered it again as the man's blood started oozing out of his mouth, not nearly half as badly as it could have if any veins were hit. "You wouldn't mind so terribly if I had a moment with my devout little friend here, would you, Calliope," Mephisto didn't ask. He stood again and slipped up behind the human, putting his hands heavily on the man's shoulders. "So, Donovan, are you ready to be rid of the sight of this beauty upon you?" If Calliope were to be paying attention, she'd likely feel Mephisto nearly LOOKING at her.

Calliope watched the man's face, smiling a little bit. She didn't feed on suffering like Mephisto did, but she enjoyed it the way someone might watch a favorite movie.

"Of course, Sir." She bit her lower lip, smiling up at Mephisto, watching him with reverence. She absolutely knew that he was an artist, and she was a fledgling. It was like a child trying to fingerpaint the Mona Lisa. And to have him compliment her, she felt her cheeks go pink, a rarity that only happened if she was embarrassed directly after feeding. She didn't need to breathe, but she could feel herself shallowly inhaling as she waited to see what would happen.

Mephistopheles smiled as well, running his nails up the neck and over the jaw of the man, glad that he was quite unable to move, half from the shock of it all, half from the restraints and weight of the woman on him. He hated it when they squirmed. His fingers finally trailed up over the cheekbones of the man and inward, to his eyes. "That's right," whispered the demon into the ear of the man, still facing towards Calliope as he spoke and the tips of his fingernails came to the inner corners of the eyes of the man. "Soon, it will be all over. You'll be done with suffering in life."

That somehow soothed the man into complacency before Mephisto slipped his fingernails into the sockets of the man's eyes, slipping his fingers down the holes and forced the eyeballs out with a sick sucking noise, before severing the optic nerves and catching the eyeballs deftly. "But of course, soon is a very relative term, isn't it, Calliope?" Asked Mephisto in an amused tone over the sounds of screaming and the blind flailing of the man. He popped one of the eyeballs in his mouth with a smile and went back to sitting down, chewing quietly.

She watched Mephisto's gestures, smiling at how sweet he sounded, how consoling. He understood - the key to torture was kindness. Showing mercy, then inflicting pain was really the key. The downtime was the torture, not the moments of pain. It was why she tried to prolong things.

She chuckled a little as Mephisto chewed, standing up and rolling her eyes at the man's screaming. "Oh, shut up." She reached out to tug at his lower jaw, ignoring when he bit her while she tugged down hard. Being a vampire meant she was stronger than any human, and she smirked as she felt the pop. "How long do you want to draw this out, Sir?" She looked over at Mephistopheles. "I'm sure you're hungry."

"Mmph," murmured Mephisto, holding up a finger before finishing the eyeball. "He's one of half a dozen, we could be at it all night if you wanted. But he's right, he's suffered enough for tonight." He patted the man on the shoulder as he downed the other eye, and laughed faintly. "We could leave him as he is and I wouldn't be hungry all night. Let him die from his infections."

Hearing the number, Calliope's eyes went wide. "You spoil me, Sir!" She leaned forward and kissed the man's upper lip, slowly and sweetly, nipping gently. As carefully as she'd put it in, she reclaimed her tool and put it back in her briefcase. "You have a good night!" She sounded as chipper as an Avon saleswoman.

Mephisto eased out of the room, slowly dragging his nails down the walls of the hallway as he walked to the front of the house, leaving large, gaping clawmarks in his wake. "I do not spoil you, Calliope. You're helping me gain my strength. Soon, I'll be doing the work all on my own. Come along." He could feel the presence of the half-wit's alter in the living room, and he snorted, walking over to it and knocking it all down with a brush of his arm. "I ask for no allegiance." He growled, and took the alter cloth. "But this is nice, I'll use it to line my jacket. Now, this next one," He said, facing Calliope as he tucked the cloth into an inner pocket of his coat, "is the so-called leader of this silly little coven. If you'll be so kind as to let me borrow your instruments, I think he'll be more appreciative of it than if I were to claw him to ribbons."

She followed him obediently, smiling a little bit to herself. "Still, you're allowing me enough time to assist you in regaining your strength. I thank you for the chance."

Her briefcase was offered to him, and she smiled. "I'm just glad I get a chance to watch an expert at work. I want to learn from you." She looked a bit sheepish, but got over it quickly.

"I invented what you do." He agreed and they soon were in a new location. Actually, it wasn't far from the first house, only a half a mile away. But this time, he didn't even bother with the door, he simply summoned himself and Calliope into the living room, smack dab in front of the TV that was tuned to some godawful horror movie while a couple ignored it and fucked on the couch.

He waited patiently for one of them to smell the sulfur and blood scent that accompanied his arrival, and rolled his fingers along the handle of the briefcase. When the man finally startled and yelped, and pushed the woman off him, Mephisto tilted his head with a coy little smile. "Now, when you say 'Oh God', do you mean yours or the one that lives in the Vatican? Because, you know, I could leave and go get her, if there's been a mistake."

Shutting her mouth at what he said - because he was true, she didn't want to anger him. Wrinkling her nose at what they were doing on the couch, she folded her arms and sighed. Ugh. Humans fucking.

She moved in the blink of an eye to move behind the girl, holding her to see what Mephisto wanted to do with her. She could snap the girl's neck or let her run, it was all Mephisto's show this time.

It was actually fortuitous that the female was part of the little coven, and he smirked, turning his head to Calliope. "Deal with her." The gibbering idiot that was left was his and Mephisto walked up to the coffee table, resting one foot on it before crouching forward. He leaned over the man and smelled the scent of sex still lingering there. His lip curled up in disgust and he huffed. "So. It was me you called, wasn't it? A pleasure to make your acquaintance. Do you know who I am?"

And the man kept stuttering, finally managing to get all five syllables out at once after quite a wait. "And do you know why I'm here?" Mephisto asked, setting down the briefcase, more as a warning, but the man took it a different way. He replied that his prayers would be answered, and that made the demon smile.

"Oh, not really. You don't know how fucking noisy it gets in my Kingdom when you do your little rituals. You pray and sacrifice your animals, and you spill innocent blood onto a tainted, idiot altar. You're just another reason why coming up here is a pain in my ass." He opened the briefcase and spit at the man's face, and the man screamed as his skin boiled and melted. Instinct took over for the human and he scratched at the acid, further smearing it onto parts that weren't affected yet, and that gave Mephisto time to get out the restraints and slam them around the man's wrists. He cleared the table then, and pushed the man onto it, laying him prone and restrained his legs to the legs of the table.

Calliope grinned. She didn't have restraints to use, so she had to make do, breaking both girl's arms and reaching out to squeeze pressure points so she couldn't move while Calliope located something to use as a ligature. She found an extension cord, cutting one of the lights in the room, tying the girl's hands behind her back.

Reaching under her shirt, she tore away some medical paper tape. It was being used to bind a scalpel to her ribs, and she yanked off the plastic covering the sharp metal. Straddling the girl again, she hummed a little bit as she cut off the girl's eyelids. With such a sharp object, it was easy and didn't take long at all.

Mephisto went about his own business with no time wasted. he touched and felt every new instrument to play with, obviously sorting out what would work best for any given situation and precisely where to find it, before he decided on one simple tool that could do all the work he wanted to do. He picked out a long bladed tool with a pointed tip and a rough grip that wouldn't get slick with blood, and went to work. His left hand traced down the body of the naked man, until he got a fairly good idea of where he wanted to go with the knife. He started cutting down between the pectoralis major, working his way down through the middle of the internal obliques, silent as the man yelled out for help. Mephistopheles simply tuned him out, facing blindly forward as the knife moved around to finish cutting down the palmaris, and then he slowly started separating the skin from the muscles. Slowly, if only to prolong the suffering.

She couldn't help but pause and watch him work. It really was beautiful, and she sighed happily, making the woman watch as well. When she started to scream, Calliope sighed and dragged her over to where the briefcase was, taking out a vial of liquid and pouring it down the woman's throat. She started to gag and whimper, coughing up blood, trying to continue making noise but not wanting to endure the pain. She stopped, silent, unable to stop watching her lover's torture. Leaning forward, she fed, quiet and content in the fact that hurting the man would hurt the woman, and at least she got a small snack out of it.

Watching Mephisto work was like watching a surrealist horror. He was efficient, his inhuman strength and precision could make quick work of the man, but he took his time, severing every nerve ending as slowly as he possibly could to draw out the delirious amount of pain that the leader of the group felt. The only power over a human's mind that Mephistopheles had was to keep them from passing out from pain, and he was using it readily to keep the coven leader from escaping the torture of the blade as it finally completed its task of removing the skin from his chest.

Mephisto turned his head down, mocking eye contact with the man. "Charles Garcia, you are going to make a fine pair of boots. Stop your whimpering." He turned the man over, and continued flaying the skin from muscle, knowing how horribly it must have been stinging to have all that dried beer, soda, lemonade, and other dirty disgusting stuff that had been on the coffee table grind into the muscle.

Pain was as close to arousal as Calliope ever got, and she made every effort not to show it as she watched Mephistopheles work. She knew she'd never be able to match what he did, even if she lived for another thousand years. It was humbling. She had half a mind to flay the girl, but she knew she'd mess up the skin if she did.

Instead, she left the girl woozy and passed out on the chair, moving to grab one of of the large lamps near the television. Removing the shade and the bulb, it made a perfectly fine pike, and she grabbed the girl, hefting her up and impaling her on it. She really was a fan of old school methods, she'd let her weight slowly lower her down onto it. It would take her a while to die, and she'd have to watch what Mephisto was doing to her boyfriend as it happened.

It was another hour or so before the man was skinned alive. Mephisto took a break every twenty minutes to let the man's brain process his agony, acclimate itself to it. In the meanwhile, he gained a nicely folded pile of skin on the floor nearby, flayed evenly from the body. It was then that he started working on taking off each muscle the man had, knowing that would surely kill him. He didn't even have to do much - he took off one bicep, and suddenly, the man's heart gave out. He sighed and, although it was imperceptible due to the single color of his eyes, Mephisto rolled them out of annoyance.

"There. Lovely. I'll tan these as soon as I'm able. In fact... since we've got three down, there's no rush for the other three, is there?" Mephisto turned to Calliope as he closed the case, every instrument in its proper place. He picked up the skin and added, "We're always able to come back, provided it's soon. You wouldn't believe how fast these new cultists turn tail, spiritually speaking."

"Whenever you wish." She'd been curled up on the couch, beaming, her knees pulled to her chest. She really liked watching him work, enough that it gave her goosebumps. "I've finished my work for the week, mostly in the late evenings I watch over Erik's club. Pretty bouncers draw more scratch." She shrugged a little and put her hair back up. "May I watch you tan them? I don't know anything about it."

There was a cool nod of quiet acceptance as he transported them back to the place where he started. He faced down at the bodies and his lip curled before they simply burst into flames. "I will need you to go get salt. Plain salt, not iodized, and I'll teach you how to tan hide. It will be a few weeks before this man's hide is ready to work with, but that is the process. Go. I'll need large amounts of it, get a sack worth." He made a generalized estimate of the size the sack would be, and it seemed that he meant a 20 pound sack of the stuff.

"I'll be in the cellar. It is dry and cool down there. Perfect for tanning."

"Plain salt, twenty pounds." She nodded and moved away, swinging her briefcase as she took the portkey to the nearest town, stopping at a few stores to buy the salt. She was efficient and fast, and she bought some lipgloss as well, applying it as she went down to the basement, carrying the bags in one arm. Cherry was her favorite.

"I got thirty pounds, Sir, just in case."

Mephisto spent the time he was alone finding the door to the basement and going down there. The basement was unfinished, but as he said, it was dry and warm, and there was plenty of floor space that he could spread the skin flat, with its outside facing down, and the still-wet inside facing up. The skin had started to cool, and he was anxious to salt the hides, so they wouldn't rot and deteriorate. Once Calliope showed up, he grabbed the bags of salt and ripped one open, spreading an even coating of salt on the hides. "This soaks up the moisture and makes sure it doesn't rot. After a few days, this skin will be ready to go into a solution, which has a very precise and easy recipe, that you'll be able to help me create. We soak the hide for two hours, then hang it, and then if I feel like it, we'll dye it. All in all, three weeks isn't all that long at all."

He smirked and stood before his night's work, looking proud, and like his strength was back to him.

"You look much better, if you don't mind my saying." She smiled a little bit, watching him work, trying to commit the process to memory. She wanted to help him in the future, if he'd allow her. It thrilled her when he said "we'll" - implying that her assistance would be needed. "What are you going to make?"

He was without his seeing-eye minotaurs, of course he'd need her help. "Boots. If there's any left over, as I'm sure there will be, I might even make you some kid gloves." He stepped away and back up the stairs, for the moment happy that his work was done for the night. It meant he could rest.

"Calliope, you have been an excellent help this evening. For a girl so pained by the male figure, so disgusted by it that you'd put an end to any creature of the male form, I commend you for seeing me as no less than I am. I believe, and this is because I've tried twice tonight, that I am attached to this form. She nodded. Unsure of how boots would be made, she really wanted to watch him out of simple curiosity in that regard. As he moved back up the stairs, she followed him, making sure to make a bit of noise as she moved.

"I'm - I don't enjoy most men, but that's not all that you are, Sir. Your form doesn't upset me." She found a seat near him, but not too close, watching him sew. She could stitch human flesh for wounds, but she couldn't craft.

"You are in awe of me. Yet you don't fear me. It's not new, but it is novel." It occurred to Mephisto that he didn't mind her company simply because she reminded him so much of another creature he once knew who stood in awe of him and grew to love him. "Those who do not fear that which was put in reality for that reason alone die miserably, and their souls are lost."

It was hard to tell the intonation in his voice was almost remorseful.

"You could take whatever form you wish." She didn't move fast or really at all; she was excellent at sitting still for long periods of time, a throwback from her childhood. "Maybe I don't fear because I've already feared enough for a thousand lifetimes. Do you - can you hear my thoughts? Do you have full omnipotence that way? Mephisto had taken to his sewing with a quiet stillness that seemed almost eerie for someone who seemed so callous. "I cannot read thoughts." He worked along the seams of the skin, which had been dyed a sooty gray, almost steel in tone. The leather was soft and pliable, and thinner than cow leather by a little over half. He turned his head up to face her as he worked. "If you have something to tell me, Calliope, you tell me in words."

She actually quirked a half smile at that. "I'm just not sure if you'll want to hear it. You know so much of suffering that mine - when I was human - it's of little consequence." She breathed hard, sighing a little bit, unnecessary, but habitual actions. "I don't like men because of my brief time as a human. My father's business partner arranged my kidnapping and sale to a vampire when I was four. The vampire chained me to a wall in his basement and let people rape and beat me daily for the next fourteen years." She shrugged, not really wanting to go into detail. "Most of them were men."

It was more detail then she'd given anyone except her husband and her former employer, ever.

You lied to yourself and brought yourself out of your body and into your mind to make it go away." He spoke as if simply reciting out of a book, and continued to work. "Your pain was excruciating, and your sorrow overtook you until you became numb with it. When he turned you, you already had the drive you do now. The reason for your existence."

"It's a boring story," she shrugged. "I wish I'd had the creativity to come to this out of a choice, but no, I was turned into this." She rolled her own eyes and sighed. "I haven't told many people that. Thank you."

She watched his fingers, wondering idly if Hell was lonely, if her life there would be any better or different than it was here, or worse, back when she was human.

There were plenty of times that you could have ended things. But you didn't because you are stronger than that. You would have ended up in my Kingdom any way you look at it. Because although you live for vengeance, you are a child of wrath." He set the needle down on the leather and folded his hands.

"I couldn't have. I refuse to die until I taste him, until I can feel his final death. He took whatever chance I had at normalcy." She used liberal air quotes, even if he wasn't looking. "So I'll destroy him." She tucked a stray bit of hair behind her ear, sighing a little. "I'll come to you no matter what, we both know that. ... thank you for saying those things."

There was a long silence as Mephisto felt the pouring of her rare emotions of grief and pain, and soaked it in. He turned his head her direction again, feigning eye contact once more.

"You are one of the most loyal creatures I've had the pleasure not to create. All before you in loyalty were by my hand's force. I had no hand in your creation."

If she could have cried, she would have, but she hadn't genuinely cried since she was twelve, and even then it hadn't been much. She bit her lip, appreciating that he turned to at least pretend to look at her. "My loyalties lie with those that appreciate what I can do and won't exploit me. Use my abilities, but don't use me." She shrugged. She liked him, as much as she liked anyone.

"And that's something I don't think even I have a cold enough heart to do." He had his pleasures and pastimes, but Mephistopheles was not a creature bound by mortal lust. His joy was found in pain, and he was content to use the resources he was given to that end. Calliope had nothing to fear and everything to gain from this alliance, and Mephistopheles was rather intrigued by that in and of itself. Usually, when striking up an allegiance, creatures of Earth wound up with a losing deal, whether it be with demons, Gods, or figments of their imagination.

Calliope was oddly in the clear.

"Hn," He muttered, "You make me think."

"You make it sound like that's a bad thing," she smiled. It was one of the rare genuine smiles she gave; most of the time when she smiled, it never reached her eyes, and it was obvious that she was faking to anyone who was really looking. "If it is, I apologize. I assume you wouldn't, just because I don't think you're interested in flesh. Not like that."

The genuine smile was visually lost on the blind demon, but the tone of her voice and her emotions themselves were readily noticed. "It's rare. Both thinking, and being interested in flesh in a lustful way. It's been eons, and it's a streak that has yet to be broken." Even Balphagor was more likely to fuck.

She nodded. "I have a husband, and we... partake, but for me it's more about the power struggle." She chuckled. "He lets me hit him. I'm simple, and the things that I enjoy physically are very obvious." She shrugged a little bit, trying not to think about what Mephisto would do during intercourse, partly since it seemed disrespectful, and partly because she simply couldn't fathom it.

He had already decided that with the bones of his next toy, he'd make the buttons and accents. "I feel the sun approaching."

"Complicated is for people who have time to fuss." Standing she bowed slightly. "If you need me, summon me. I'll head home now. Thank you, Sir. It's not a night I'll ever forget." She smiled again, turning around to head to the portkey.

With a silent nod, the demon listened to Calliope leave and walk down the street until his ears had to strain to hear her. Even then, he could still feel her presence, lingering in the chair and around him.

It was an interesting first night on Earth.
