As soon as she finished her reply to Erik, God closed her eyes and breathed in deeply, gathering the consciousness of the universe around her. Her laptop slid shut noiselessly and slivers of light popped around her. Wind swirled lightly as wisps of her hair slid over her shoulders and with little to no concentration, she removed herself from her rooms in the Vatican to land inside Erik's home, specifically his bedroom. If he wasn't there at the moment, she knew he would be shortly. They had a link, the two of them, one that wasn't conscious or even intentional. It simply existed. It allowed her to feel an intense surge of love everytime Erik thought of her or wanted to see her. And somehow he always knew when she was near. It occurred to her briefly that it might have something to do with the exchange of blood between them that very first time they were together.

Her eyes still closed, she floated to his bed, settling herself on it, her silvery dress falling in soft folds around her as she concentrated a little harder to slow the flow of time in the room. She didn't want it to affect the rest of the world, it wasn't her intention to mess with the fabric of time. She simply desired more time with her beloved, so she altered the passage of time within the room where they would be until further notice.

Erik had never been so devoted to one spirit, one entity more than he was to Godric, in all his time of being a vampire. It's true that his devotion was deep and encompassed so many different positions. Brother. Lover. Son. And he still found himself thinking of Godric on occasion, of the nights they spent together when he had just been turned. But he also found himself dwelling on those memories less and less, and turning to the memory of Godric's strength to get him through each passing night of tedium.

In fact, there was rarely tedium in this place. Especially since the memories were being replaced with a joy of life that Erik hadn't felt in hundreds of years. God was incredible in every possible way. There wasn't one sense that he had that she didn't please, and she was an amazing woman, even if she still maintained all her powers and pleasures of being a deity. He loved her - of that there was no doubt - but he was astounded when he tried to find the depth of which he longed for her in her absence, the strength of her draw, the delight of his thoughts of her. Erik found himself smiling more often, and he thought, with a chuckle, as he felt her in his bedroom, that if he were only just a little older, the way he smiled would make those muscles on his face creak with the use of them after so many years of being so serious.

He was wearing nothing special really, just some high-end casual wear suitable to be worn by someone in wealth, the button-down shirt unbuttoned over the tee that clung to his chest and shoulders, and his slacks were well cut. He didn't bother with socks and shoes in his own home, since when he wandered down the hallways, as he was just doing, toward the bedroom, he knew his feet weren't in any particular danger. He leaned against the doorway once he arrived, just taking in the scene of a beautiful woman gracefully sitting on his bed. His beautiful lover and beloved, his God, and his joy.

"You're not serious about the Leia costume, are you?" He gently teased, arms crossed as his shoulder propped him against the frame of the door. "I mean, it's better than turning blue and having tentacles hanging down from your head, but then again, that particular movie franchise never caught my interest. It made space seem like it was already explored entirely."

The moment his body crossed the plane of the doorway, time stood still. Or very nearly, anyhow. He was going to get his wish for her to slow time for them. She couldn't make more days in the week without altering the world for everyone but she could do her part to give them more time together. There wasn't anything else she'd rather be doing than spending time in his arms, whether they were talking or making love.

Turning to the sound of his voice, her eyes came open slowly, so the very first thing they saw was him. The sheer beauty of him hit her square in the chest as she simply looked at him lounging languidly in the doorway. The line of his body was uncompromised by anything as undignified as ugliness or imperfection. From the top of his delightfully blonde head to the toes of his perfectly clean feet he was a specimen of unerring perfection. If any maker were proud of his work, she was. And he was hers, in so many more ways than one. Her child, yes. Her creation, yes. But also her beloved, her devoted, her lover and her partner. The one she could talk to about anything. The one she was most free with at all times. And most importantly, the one she loved with all she held inside of her, unafraid of any consequences of that love.

Her voice still rasped softly, even though she used it more often with Erik than with anyone else on the planet. "Serious? No. I thought it was hot of course, but not serious about it. I was actually thinking of something more like this at first," she said, her power swirling to clothe her in a bar maid costume. She stood and walked as light as a feather over to him, despite wearing rather high heels with the costume. Her hair had been left long and loose rather than in any pigtails or other arrangement. It was unfettered and uncomplicated and he seemed to like it that way, so she wore it as such for him.

Stopping in front of him, God hooked her finger into the front of his shirt, pulling him closer to her. She laid her lips over his gently, lovingly, before molding her body tightly to his and kissing him harder and more passionately than before. Only moments in his presence and already her love and passion for him was her undoing. She couldn't be near him without needing to touch him and her hands ran tenderly over his chest before sliding up to curl sweetly in his hair.

The fact that he could feel time alter in the room made him smile. He'd suggested the shift in time partly as a joke - he'd said those same words before to countless others who'd complained that there was never enough time to be spent with him. But this time, he meant them himself. And who else could make such a miracle happen but God herself? He let out a low, amused chuckle when she answered and showed her other costume idea, and Erik purred, "No woman who wore that sort of thing in earnest would have worn a skirt so short, but they didn't have legs so perfect. I think that's a compromise I'm willing to live with."

He leaned down just slightly into the kiss, trailing his fingers over the flouncy skirt and let them rest on her waist as she slipped up closer to him. He claimed her lips and traced his tongue along the lower one before delving just slightly further. It was likely, he figured, that God already knew his ways with women, he'd be a gentleman first, but get progressively more passionate as the night rolled on. He moved a hand to the small of her back as the kiss broke. "I would say I'm blessed," his tone was lower than usual, but soft, "but who would have blessed me with you, other than You? This is a kind of complication that I can truly enjoy in a relationship." His fingers caressed her cheek and he smiled fairly, a smile that was rare for him except for with her. "How have you been? Has the Vatican been as boring and stuffy as usual? You could suggest casual Fridays, to go along with their fish."
