Like Charles, Jane didn't hear much until she had to say something. She merely let herself get lost in Charles' eyes. It was finally a time for them and she was going to enjoy every moment of it. When she finally heard the words "I now pronounce you husband and wife" and "you may now kiss the bride", Jane was all smiles. Stepping closer, she lifted her head to accept her new husband's kiss.
Edward smiled softly, nodding to Anthony as the other man was smiling much wider. Edward wanted his mother happy and he could tell that Charles brought her that happiness. He would never begrudge either of them that. He knew Charles was a good man and he made his mother smile which, to Edward, was what mattered.
Anthony was almost envious as he watched Charles embrace his wife. Things were different in this time and while Anthony had married briefly in their time, it was out of duty and betrothal than any real emotion. Not like the two he watched now. He was thankful for being a part of this day for Charles. The two deserved happiness.
