Charles' smile was about as wide as it could be once he saw Jane walking down the aisle to him with Edward. Then he mouthed "Love you" to her as she approached, shaking his head a few times as he imagined taking the lovely slip of a dress off Jane's body later that night.
Damn, he was lucky.
He shook Edward's hand and nodded to him politely, thankful that the boy couldn't read his mind like some people in this new world and hear all the thoughts Charles was having about Jane at the moment. He then took Jane's arm and winked at her.
"Dearly Beloved," the minister began after the tape-recorded music ended, "we are gathered here today..."
Charles didn't hear much of the rest except for the part where he had to say, I do" and "You may now kiss the bride."
