Smiling, Henry gave a shrug as his only comment. Now was not the time for them to have a discussion about how perfect or imperfect he happened to be, although he greatly suspected that he and Gabriella would be needing to discuss that subject soon enough, only not now.
He lowered down to the floor behind Gabriella, his legs easily fitting to either side of her, feet dangling over the edge of the deck, just a metre or two above the water. Henry rested his chin on his girlfriend's shoulder, eying the ring she'd raised. "Sweetheart, I'm sorry I had to leave, especially at the time it came up. But that's why you and I are here, and nobody else is, right?"
Placing a kiss on the side of Gabriella's neck, Henry then let his arms loop around her petite frame and gave her a squeeze.
