Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:bobby singer, robert winchester, torii sou wartooth

Who: Torii, Robbie, Uncle Bobby, and a couple doggies.
Where: Bobby's place
When: Tuesday afternoonish.
Warnings: Probably a lot of cute, maybe some swearing.

Torii was making good on her promise to adopt Bobby, or at least his library, and when she'd seen that he had a new puppy, well, that was all the excuse she needed to round up Monty and Robbie and pay another visit.
She had called ahead, of course, to make sure he didn't have other plans, sometimes she was considerate like that. She was laughing as they landed, holding onto a wiggling Monty who absolutely hated portkey travel.

Bobby was already on the porch by the time they got across the yard, holding the door open, "Starting to think you got lost on the way."

Robbie was, for his part, a perfect gentleman, helping Torii sort her hair and dog before moving to hug his uncle. "Oh, only for a little while. She got distracted by something shiny on the way here."

Bobby was still working on the hug thing, they were still more of a half-awkward pat than anything else, but he was getting there, "Figures." He was amused, however.

Torii just stuck out her tongue, the picture of maturity, once she'd set Monty down, he did the same thing as he always did when he wasn't sure of his surroundings. He sat down, leaning against her shins, tail giving a half-hearted wag, "Couldn't find Monty's harness is all, been training him more now that he's qualified for shows and all."

"Apparently he's supposed to be cute or something." He grinned and loked over his shoulder at Monty, making a silly face. "He is pretty adorable, though. Where's your little one?"

Torii grinned, giving Bobby a hug herself, quick enough that she mostly just confused him before darting into the house, Monty at her heels, "He is cute! He's made of pudgewrinkles."

Bobby blinked, both at the hug and 'pudgewrinkles' before shaking his head at Robbie's question, "In the library, went and decided the wing-back is hers."

He moved inside, taking off his coat and going toward the library. He beamed when he saw the puppy, kneeling beside her and lightly scritching her behind the ears. "Why hello there, miss."

The puppy just blinked at him, sniffing his fingers once before licking at his hand, tilting her head at Torii and Monty, tail shivering, but not wagging just yet.

Monty was apparently shocked by this, he wasn't used to other dogs being smaller than he was, and Thatcher was given an exploratory snuffle before he sat back, offering a paw to shake. Torii had to bite her lip to keep from grinning, picking up where she'd left off among the shelves.

Bobby huffed, still just amused, leaning against the workdesk, watching, "Manners, that's a new one."

"Someone's a gentleman. Hey, it can happen." He shrugged and continued scritching Thatcher, chuckling. "She's lovely."

Bobby smiled, especially as Thatcher flopped over on her side, grumble-whining and pawing at Robbie's fingers, demanding a belly rub. Monty, for his part, tried switching paws to shake, whining softly, "She's a sweetheart." He shrugged, arms folding, "Couldn't just leave her there."

He arched a brow at Torii then, "You figure out how the place is organized yet?"
"Nope!" Was the cheerful response, leafing carefully through one of the heavier tomes.

He he obliged her with the tummyrubs, scitching and petting in alternate measure, bending forward and blowing raspberries lightly. He leaned back after a time to snuggle with Monty, just so the other dog wouldn't get jealous. He rolled his eyes at his girlfriend. "Darling, Uncle Bobby has a very good organizational system. Just ask."

"Organizational systems are for pussies." Was Torii's automatic response, beaming again a moment later, "Besides, it's more fun if I figure it out for myself."

Bobby had decided it was a good thing he'd already finished his coffee, because that would have caused a spit-take of epic proportions, "Just lemmie know when you've got another guess."

"You're for pussies," Robbie countered, grinning and winking at her. He knew what the implication would be, and he was okay with that.

He pulled Monty onto his stomach, looking up at Bobby. "You're settling in okay?"

"You're saying I should give you up to date girl?" Torii asked, the picture of innocent confusion, brow furrowed, "Well I guess I could, if that's really what you want."

Bobby did snicker at that, shaking his head, "So far so good, got my books, people to make sure I don't become more of a hermit than I already am." He shrugged, "Could be doing worse, a lot worse."

Monty was fine with this, sighing and stretching out across Robbie, making a confused noise when Thatcher caught his tail in her teeth, turning doe eyes up at him.

"As long as I get to watch, Torii Sou." He toed off his shoes, scratching up Monty's sides. "We'd keep you from being a hermit, Bobby. And Dad and Uncle Sam, forget about peace. They'll bother you if you get too comfortable." He shrugged a little bit before chuckling at Monty. "Just your tail. She's flirting."

Torii rolled her eyes at that, shaking her head and tucking her hair behind her ear, "You're such a boy." That said, she returned the book to where she'd gotten it, moving on to the next one to catch her eye.

Bobby nodded again, actually smiling that time, "Yeah, and with your girlfriend adopting my library, I think it'll be a while before I even get the chance to be a hermit again."

Thatcher barked, just once, scrabbling to her feet, her own tail wagging like crazy already. Monty blinked at her, apparently still confused as to why she was smaller than he was, whuffing at her and putting his head back down, watching Torii.

"Well, obviously." He shrugged a little and still looked up at Bobby. He chuckled a little. "Sorry, will you ever forgive us for forcing you out of your cave-dweller ways?"

He watched the dogs with curiosity. "You can go play if you want to, Monty. It's okay."

There was another gleeful bark from Thatcher, head down, paws out, tail going like a dynamo. Monty heaved a very put-upon sigh as he trundled to his feet to nose at her side again, toppling her right over with a squeak.

Bobby chuckled, both at the dogs and at Robbie's question, "I think I'll survive it. Just as long as I don't get any 'told you so's whenever this place goes crazy, since people keep saying it does and I ain't seen it yet."

Bobby's brow just arched, eying Torii a moment, "Her? With a sawed-off?" It wasn't disbelief, not really, more just verifying.

Torii scoffed, "Of course not." And before Bobby could ask, she added, "I use a crossbow."

"Still got the whole damn armory." He said with a nod, pushing himself up and away from the desk, "You up for a demonstration kiddo?"

Torii tossed him a mock salute, "Aye aye cap'n. Always happy to show off for my fans."

Monty did trundle off, apparently attempting to teach Thatcher how to shake hands, usually just getting his paw nommed on for the trouble.

Robbie chuckled, shaking his head at the dogs. "Silly things." He was glad nobody was asking him to sharpshoot. He wasn't bad, but he knew he wasn't Winchester caliber.

Bobby nodded, snapping his fingers for the dogs and snagging the keys off the hook beside the back door, heading down the hall, "Don't know that there's a longbow short enough for you, but there's a crossbow at least, actually just cleaned it the other day." Torii nodded, grinning still, "Either one."

The armory was what had once been a back bedroom, the shelves and racks weren't exactly custom made, but they were home made, and they were well made, and that was really all that mattered. Monty snuffled at the doorway, sneezing once and sitting back, shaking his head so hard his ears flapped. Thatcher, on the other hand, was thrilled, somewhere new to explore!

Somehow, Monty managed to pout, blinking balefully up at Robbie. Torii just shook her head at this, scratching the dog behind the ears before bounding into the room, checking the bows first, squinting at one before measuring it, "This'll do. Next question is: will the roof actually support me?"

Bobby shrugged, getting a bowstring out of a drawer and handing it to her while he went to look for arrows, "Roof of the workshop will, and you can see the shooting range from there."

"It's for your own good, little one." Robbie smiled and scritched his ears. "We can't have you running into one of mommy's arrows, can we?" He rocked the dog a little, shaking his head.

Thatcher had found a dustbunny under a shelf. Or, rather, it had stuck to her nose when she'd gone under the shelf, and she shook it off before sitting back beside Robbie's feet, tail still going like crazy.

Torii had the bow strung by the time Bobby found arrows, which caused him to arch a brow, "Starting to think your boy might be right." Torii grinned, "He is."

Bobby stooped to pick up the puppy, rubbing the remaining dust off her nose, "You two can wait in the kitchen, that's where the food is." Monty's ears perked at that, tail giving a half-hearted, almost unsure wag.

Torii was very nearly bouncing, bow over one shoulder and the paint bucket serving as a quiver in the other.

Robbie wolf whistled at his girlfriend, chuckling. "She's even cuter when she goes to play warrior. I'm the worst Winchester ever, I'm the recon guy. But she's good." He watched her, studying her, sitting down on the ground and sprawling a little to watch.

Torii reached over to ruffle his hair, "We need a recon guy though, and besides, you're also mister knock down the computer systems guy, and pretty much the only one who can do it."

Bobby propped up a ladder so torii could get to the roof of the workshop, pointing out the shooting range. It was the same collection of random detritus it had always been; pilfered street signs, pie tins, bottles, cans, buckets on sticks and free AOL CDs to say the least.

Torii beamed as she braced herself, her bucket-quiver between her feet, "Robbie, call 'em, it's no fun if I'm picking them out myself!" She called down.

Bobby folded his arms, leaning against the workshop wall to watch this.

There was a snap and what could only be described as 'fwip' before the indicated pie tin was pinned to the fence post it was leaning against, "C'mon, you know I can do that, that was like, thirty paces."

The one that was furthest away, wasn't a target at all, but a tree stump. Torii hit it wice anyway, "That's not the point though you end table! The point is to give me like four or five in a row like one of those stupid noisy games with the colors and the callback pattern."

Bobby's brow furrowed, mouthing 'end table?' in question at Robbie.

"Men are end tables. We're useless. She's special, run with it. Left most, second from the right! The pointy one! The spkey one!" He didn't know if there were any targets that met those descriptions, but if there weren't, Torii would find the ones most similar.

Bobby was just this side of alarmed by Torii's accuracy, fairly certain that she would have been fine taking out zombies with a longbow instead of a crossbow, "Remind me never to get on this girl's bad side."

"It runs in her family. They're adorable and fluffy and you sort of want to pet them, but at times they turn into bezerkers. Remember Mogwai? She's like him, only instead of not feeding her after midnight, just don't give her coffee ever." He shrugged and grinned. "Uncle Bobby's scared of you, baby, you can come down now!"

"Don't wanna!" Was Torii's response, clipping a well-punctured stop sign, "Besides, I still got arrows left!"

Monty was thrilled with the attention, rolling over on his back to kick his feet, pawing at the air, whuffing happily. Thatcher thought this looked like a good idea, flopping herself over and pawing at Monty's side.

Bobby nodded, brow arching as the stop sign was further perforated, Torii apparently taking her time now to punch a rough pentigram into it, "Sharp kid."

Monty was fine with playing pillow, Torii did it to him often enough after all and Thatcher was equally thrilled with the earpetting as she had been by the bellyrubs, squeaking and rolling herself over to lean up into his fingers.

Bobby nodded as Torii slung the now empty bucket out into the shooting range and slid herself down the ladder, bouncing off to go retreive the arrows, "I could tell. She's pretty ruthless too from what I hear." He hadn't even been privy to one and he already knew about Torii's occasional tantrums.

He arched a brow at that, but shrugged it off, after all, it didn't seem as if this were any sort of every day occurrance, and they both seemed to have gotten through it unscathed.

He shrugged at the question, leaning back against the wall of the workshop, "Not much, not really anything so far as I can tell, teaching some."
