Though he'd intended to have Will with him, to watch his back, when the time came, Danny slipped off alone, to deal with Frank Connell alone. Whatever happened, Danny had to do it himself, his way. Will knew the basics, of what Frank had done, what the bastard was capable of, but Will hadn't been there. Will hadn't seen Mary, all those years ago, when she'd come to Danny scared and bloody and...
Danny couldn't think about that now. He had to stay focused on Frank. The bastard was going to pay, Danny was going to be sure of that. He'd dressed in black, better to blend in to the shadows. His military training afforded him the ability to move without making a sound, his strength and endurance would leave Frank in the dust. The bastard wouldn't have a chance, once Danny got a hold of him.
Hearing the man's words, Danny fought back a sneer. He couldn't let the bastard cloud his mind. He had to stay focused.
He moved into view, gun drawn, though he didn't intend to use it just yet. He wouldn't give Frank an easy death. "Hello, Frank."
