She nust nodded, hanging her head. "It sounds so stupid. But I was scared you were going to go. I thought if you left me, it would hurt too much and I wouldn't be able to deal with it, but I didn't want you to go either. I did what I thought was the next best thing, I guess." Biting her lip, she moved to tangle her legs with his, laying back to look at the ceiling. "Even your ceilings are pretty, Sunny."
The point remained that she still loved him, probably always would, and hated that she'd almost killed him. She hated herself more than almost anyone.
