She knew what he meant, and she bit down a little on the inside of her cheek to keep from reacting in any way but stoicism. Smiling a little in spite of herself when he put the tie around her neck, she shook her head. "I meant on you, Sunny. You look good in red."
Dani could see how worried he was how he was almost floating and floundering. Scooting her chair closer to his, she leaned against his shoulder, letting her long hair skim his neck. "I miss you. You and Annie and Mom and Dad and Robbie are the only ones I couldn't live without. You and Annie and Robbie, mostly. Don't get me wrong, I love Mom and Dad, but I love you guys so much." She bit her lip to keep from babbling further. She didn't want to think about the rift between them, but she couldn't help it: how she'd freaked out because she'd told Sindre that she loved him and how it had come so easily, and how his friend had been in the room and obviously okay with her climbing into his lap. Admitting that she'd fucked up the relationship on purpose because she was scared Sindre would leave her first made no sense, even to her.
