Lois knows now he got his cooking skills from the Kents and Clark. "You're making dinner," she states the obvious but it's in gratitude and surprise. "Do you usually do this?"
She wants to hug him but he's moving too fast. So when he slows down to take the eggs to the fridge (what messy incident led to him being careful, she's not sure she wants to know), she goes over and hugs him tightly before he can rush off again.
Lois may not have superstrength, but it almost seems like it with the way she's holding on. "I love you, Jason," she says, in only a voice a slightly choked up mother could have. She kisses his cheek and pulling back only far enough to study his face. "I hope I told you that every day when you were growing up."
