Lois blinks and stares, unable to believe this is really her son. Her son who has, apparently, perfected superspeed. Even through her surprise, there's a little smile on her face and the look of a proud mother shows more and more.
She barely registers the flour on his face before he's off again, and she can barely keep track. She can see a bit of the Smallville Clark's traits in Jason and wonders if her Clark was like this as a teenager, and what Martha had to deal with... she wishes to the powers that be that Martha was here. At least Lisa knows what it's like to suddenly have a superpowered teenager, and Lois can talk to her.
By the time Jason gives her flowers, she's smiling. She takes the flowers and watches him speed off again. Her horrible day seems insignificant next to what she's seeing. Tears sting at her eyes, because she can't believe her son is here after she waited for so long, and he grew up to be so capable and strong and got her flowers, and he's cooking... wait. Hopefully he got cooking skills from Clark. Or Richard, if Jason had grown up knowing Richard too. Carefully, she enters the kitchen to see what he's up to. She hasn't said a word, but just watches Jason happily.
