"Shhh, shhhh, Jenn." Charlie purred against her ear. His voice was rough, he didn't use it much. "I've got you. Charlie's got you." His eyes closed for a moment. He wasn't phased by the thump of the glass on his arm, or the one that shattered at their feet.
He walked her away from the fridge, leaving the freezer door open. He was considerably bigger than she, not only taller, but stronger. He spent a lot of time doing push ups and sit ups when his body wasn't too broken to handle the strain.
He walked her to the kitchen table, a sturdy oak, and put her back to the table, forcing her onto the flat surface.
