Sable sees all that -- and it makes her heart ache, not only because she loves him, but also because, if she had had a gentler upbringing, that same uncertainty might have been visible in her.
She pulls Soren gently against her, and dabs at his cheeks with her sleeve.
"We can do whatever you want, baby. No one's trying to punish or blame anyone here. We're just talking." She reaches to slowly massage his scalp and neck and upper back with one hand. "But love, that's what this is for -- so we can all say what we're comfortable with and what we're not, and what we want and what we don't. If you'd rather not say it with everyone here, that's okay. Just tell us whether you want to talk to any of us alone... and let's promise to do that, too." She leans over to kiss Soren's face. "Relax, baby. Take a deep breath and remember we all want you -- and all of us -- to be safe, and happy, and we all love you. And you're right, too -- we ARE all messed up. You haven't even gotten to see me like that yet," she adds to everyone, smiling as she rubs Soren's back comfortingly. "Henn, Cass, if you want to stop now we can, but Henn, will you put the TV on and find something we can have on real quietly?"
