Sophie was looking at him, her eyes still a little wide from the panic as she processed it all. She exhaled slowly, relieved--partially, at least. "X-ray, yes. Please," she said, trying not to feel awkward about having asked a boy she liked to look at the inside of her uterus.
So he didn't have any diseases--she'd sort of assumed that much--and she wasn't pregnant. She would go to the clinic, anyway. She didn't think Rose would take Jon's word for it, and she suspected all of the anxiety was supposed to be a punishment, of sorts. Something to make her think twice--or at least once--the next time.
