The tension surrounding them was to the point that it was almost palpable. For once Crews was lacking any kind of explanation, surreal or otherwise, to describe their current situation. One of his better virtues in patience had all but disappeared which left him with an odd feeling. Dani had always been pretty but he hadn't noticed her like this before.

When his hand brushed against hers it literally felt like a jolt of electricity down his spine. “You're welcome.” The words didn't sound as convincing as he usually did, not because Charlie didn't mean them, more than he wasn't entirely focused.
After scooting closer and her shifting slightly on the couch they were all but face to face. And there were Dani's lips. Full, luscious, and very close. It was uncharacteristic for him to feel this way so strongly but it wasn't something that could be fought.
