“Putting your foot through the TV would in fact prevent us from doing what we set out to do,” Charlie chimed in with a small smirk on his lips. Though watching Dani attack the television set would have undoubtedly provided more entertainment than the infomercial he had been viewing. Watching Reese in general seemed to be the one constant on his mind.
This, whatever it was, blocked away all the thoughts of what they had seen by watching the show. It meant for once Crews didn't have to endlessly ponder all the possibilities and reflect on what could have been done differently. He didn't have to think back on why everything was set into motion in the first place.
He arched an eyebrow at the hot comment but it was the truth. Even if the temperature outside didn't reflect it, today was almost unbearably hot, to the point that he had almost been forced to disregard the mostly unbuttoned shirt all together.
“I'm not sure. Could be any number of things. Global warming, the air conditioner not functioning correctly..” Focus was something that was increasingly difficult to come by. He scooted over closer to Reese on the couch. “You..have a little ice cream, on your chin.” He reached out to wipe it away, not with a napkin, but with his thumb.
