Sam just smiled his biggest, dimpled smile up at her. He took the ring out of the box, carefully and slipped it on Anne's ring finger. Perfect fit.

"Thanks for my birthday present." he grinned again, voice kind of thick with emotion and happiness. "Best one ever." He stood and held her close, kissing her temple.
