Sam wrapped his arms around his dad, hugging him. "Okay, dad." He just wanted to make things better. He hated that his dad was hurting this much. "You know, we'd go fishing sometimes," he said, still hugging his dad as he started talking about his old world. "Which I think you enjoyed more than me, but it was worth it to spend time with you. And we'd watch football together, but half the time you'd fall asleep in the middle and I'd change the channel." He smiled a little.
