Pulling a bright, white sheet from the basket at her feet, Alma gave it a sharp whip in the air to shake off any excess water before holding it carefully so it didn't touch the ground, using the pins in her mouth and on her apron to hang it up on the clothes line. She did the same for three more sheets before picking the basket up and setting it onto the porch. This concluded her morning chores, she had a little bit of time ti relax before working on making everyone on the ranch lunch, doing the dishes from it and straightening everything up around the house before making dinner, so she sat on one of the stairs, pulling her knees up to look off over the land, enjoying the slowly warming sun and the breeze.

Bobby'd been working on reshoeing one of mares. Finishing the work, he moved out of the barn into the harsh sunlight. He yawned and stretched and arched his back.

A slow smile spread his features as he watched Alma with the last of her sheets. A quick glance assured him no one else was around. Drew was off his with grandfathers up the mountain, and the various other ranch hands were busy with morning chores.

The opportunity was too good to resist. Bobby stepped, slow and careful, so Alma wouldn't hear him until he slid his arms around her from behind, a hand over her eyes. "Guess who?" he murmured, his breath hot and his lips wet on her ear.

"Awww, Alma. Y'don't mean 'at." Bobby's hand changed direction, heading south to the waist band of her jeans. The elbow to his gut caused him to shift, but he didn't back off.

Bobby and Alma had a fiery passion between them. They hollered and punched each other. But deep down, Bobby knew they were meant to be together. He just needed a little more time to play, explore his other options. he knew he'd come home to Alma, in the end, and she'd be waiting for him.

Alma was old fashioned. Raised into believing in the value of marriage, raising your children inside of them, that was the reason she'd stuck with Kurt, lied about Andrew's paternity, even to Bobby for months after his birth. It started to become apparent fast that he was Bobby's son.

She loved him deeply and she hated him for it. Hated him for not stepping up the moment she did divorce Kurt.

She was stuck there, starting to melt back against him as his hands moved on her until dull realization warmed her senses, she stood straight, pulling away from him. "At least let's get outta the open, Bobby, y'never know when someone could come this way."
