WHO: Reinette and the Human!Doctor.
WHERE: Huis ten Bosch Palace.
WHEN: After this.
RATING/WARNINGS: TBD. None yet.
STATUS: In progress.

Reinette had closed herself up in her rooms, trying to keep away from everyone else as much as possible. It wasn't so much painful as it was overwhelming, though negative emotions were painful to her, being so aware of the emotions of others. She could still feel everyone in that part of the palace, but it was muted with the distance. She didn't feel up to being around people right then, and she couldn't imagine living with these feelings in her head for the rest of her life. It was too much, and left her feeling as if her own emotions were becoming lost in a wave of other people's feelings. She needed to gain control of this, but she was frightened of working on it, worried that she would fail and lose herself. She truly could not fathom how her Doctor could stand to have this in his head constantly. It was all too awful.

She sat in a chair by the window staring absently out at the gardens. A knock to the door startled her and she jumped slightly. "Come in," she called wearily."
