Jamie's mouth twisted in to a small frown. Okay, he thought, he'd moved too fast. He put just a bit of distance between them and didn't fight to keep touching her. "I do know." He didn't know the exact details, he couldn't know what she was going through exactly, but he understood it. "I know what this is. I know what it feels like to blame yourself for something that wasn't your fault. But the truth is that you didn't pull that trigger. You didn't hurt those girls." He couldn't bring himself to mention that one of them had died. Yet. "You don't want to talk about it? That's okay. But you need to listen." He was frustratingly calm throughout his speech, patient, and all but waiting for her to yell or cry or hit him.
