Merope had rested most of her day away, she hadn't seen Jonathan really in the last few days and her conscious felt guilty. Just as she descended the stairs, Merope saw him throw away the piece he'd been eating and she leaned against the wall unseen by him. It took her a long moment before she could gain her composure from the incident, she frowned in knowing that he threw it away but couldn't blame him as he didn't know she was there.
