A purple vortex appeared.. and Shang Tsung stepped out of it. Once it had closed up, he then formed another one, this time to Stan's location. That would have to do. He saw some broken windows. Heard the stomping of boots. As he glanced up, he saw a few of them heading up the stairs to the fire escape. He stretched out his arm and a fireball flew from his hand, hitting one in the back. The man was aflame, flailing madly in pain. Then the sorcerer fire at another guard.

Meanwhile, on the fourth floor, Damien had left his cell. He'd noticed that the others on his floor was empty. Probably a good idea or he'd have used that. As he walked down the hall, the overhead lights began to burst, one row of fluorescent bulbs shattering after the next (like a domino effect), and the entire hallway was soon in complete darkness.

Damien heard the running of boots behind him, yells of surprised confusion, and he stepped aside as he let them pass by him. Yes.. he could see perfectly in the dark. Probably from his jackal DNA. As he made his way to the fire escape door, he couldn't help but be curious about the screams from outside, as well as the stench of smoke..
