When: Evening
Where: Alice's home
What: Removing an annoyance from his daughter's life
Rating: R

==================

Alice was unhappy about the parents she was with. And so, Shang Tsung has come to remedy that. It was the least he could do. He was her true father. Or at least, an alternate version of the man she had known in her own world. He noticed that most individuals that come here replace someone. And they usually settle in nicely with that life. However, for Alice, she was apparently the daughter (biological or adopted, he was not certain) of two parents that she could not stand to be around for some reason. That was understandable. There were some apprentices over the centuries that he loathed to tutor in the craft.

He dressed himself in a dark business suit and created a portal. Once through it, he noticed he was about a block away from the residence. He made his way there, noting that he was in some sort of suburb neighborhood. The homes looked annoyingly identical, not too far apart, and even the grass was the same. He could suddenly empathize with Alice and could see how this would be a problem. Only a few minutes, and he was already feeling vexed by these surroundings. The sorcerer was tempted to improve the scenery with a few fireballs. He mumbled under his breath, "What this place needs is another Outworld invasion..."

He arrived at the door, first checking to make sure he had the right houses. It was difficult to tell. Once he was certain, he knocked at the door. He did not have to wait long. A man opened it. Ahh, he looked middle-aged, wealthy, and a banker type. He stared into the man's eyes. Looked into his soul. As he did so, he resisted the urge to snort at his impression of this man.

The man looked him over. "Yes, what is your business here? Something I can help you with?" Ohh, he even head a tone.

Shang nodded, extending his hand. "As a matter of fact.. there is. I am Thomas Chang, one of your daughter's teachers at her school. It would seem that she has very high marks in her studies. I am interested in enrolling her in a program that will benefit her.. and by association, you and your wife as well. Financial benefits may be included too."

"Ohh.. I see." The man smiled at that. He was easily impressed. He stepped aside. "Well, then! Come in, please come in, we can talk about this more inside. My wife is out for a few hours, but I think she will agree with me."

Shang smiled at this minor victory stepping into the home and closing the door once he was in. He gestured to a chair, as though asking permission, and sat down in it once the man gave a nod. "Any chance that your daughter is here? It will save time and eliminating excessive chatter with her present. I know that in your line of work, you must tire of repeating yourself to underlings."

"Underlings.." The man laughed, then nodded in agreement, now sitting across from him on a couch. "Yes, that does get a bit old after a while. She's here." He turned his head and called toward the stairs, "Alice! Hey, Alice, could you please come down here? There is company here that wants to talk with you."

It wasn't quite true that she was unhappy with this 'family' she was forced in, it just wasn't hers. She was the daughter of the Great Shang Tsung and Sonya Blade, what could these mundane humans ever teach her.

Okay, so she was just a little upset.

Finding out that her father wasn't even hers and yet acted and behaved like him, that was a bit of a shock. She could only imagine what her momma was thinking at the moment.

When hearing the man who called himself 'her father', she didn't jump from her thoughts, she knew who the company was and what her 'real' purpose for coming down the stairs.

Alice stepped into the front hall, wearing the black and red trousers, tunic and over dress she arrived in, her expression calm and neutral.

Shang smiled when the girl had stepped into the room. He waved her over to have a seat by himself and her father. "Alice, good to see you again. I was just telling your dad about your progress in school.. how your grades are exceptional."

He smiled then, looking at her with a glance that seemed as though he were asking her to play along, for appearances. "I was just about to propose putting you in that program. Actually, I've done so already, but.. we believed it best you were here as well so we can go over the details together."

Her years in the Outworld court weren't for nothing, Tsung's presence reinforcing them. She kept her face calm as she took a seat by her father and the 'other man'.

"Thank you, I wasn't certain that my marks were that high, but I would love to be accepted into the program."

As talented as she was in soul reading, she couldn't really tell what Shang Tsung was up to. She understood this was as set-up and thus could easily play along, but that was the extent of it.

"Good, then it is settled," the father said with a smile. He looked at Shang. "I take it you have the forms on hand?"

Shang nodded. "Yes, I do. In my car. But there is another matter to deal with. Another accomplishment that you may be proud of." Or regret, in this case.

The man was curious, looking at the girl, then back at the sorcerer. "And what is that?"

"In addition to chemistry," Shang said with a proud smile, "she is also quite the expert in martial arts, along with weapon forms. There is none equal in her school."

"Oh, is that right?" The man paused, though not sure what to think of his daughter learning too much, but also a sense of pride that she excelled. "What style? Tae kwon do? Kung fu? Judo?"

Shang replied, "I think it is best that you see. It is better to see it than be told by words. Isn't that right, Alice?" He looked at her then. "Please, enlighten us. Show him. Show him the full extent of your prowess." In other words, kill him and have fun with it.

She smiled in a way Shang Tsung could actually see a little more of himself in her.

"I will."

She stood up, walking some feet away before facing both men and getting in a stance, stepping back she ran up, kicking the 'other father' hard enough to send him flying out of his chair. She followed it with an ax kick.

The man was caught by surprise as he flew out of the chair and landed on his back. But then he felt the axe kick come down to his head.. which increased his pain. He sat up, holding up his hands. "What.. why did you.."

"You accepted the proposal for a demonstration," Sahng said calmly, as if this was normal. "Continue, Alice. Show him some more."

The man gasped in shock. Then he pointed his finger at the giel, though after a few coughs. "That's it, missy, you are grounded. No TV for a year. Nothing.."

Alice knelt next to the fallen man, lifting him up by his shirt-small feat considering he was the taller of the two.

"You're not my father," She said slowly. "You've no business on grounding me, in fact..you've no use to me at all."

She struck her palm hard into his nose, followed by a swift knee into the stomach and side kick in that same area.

Alice pulled him up by his arm as she continued to deliver the punishment.

It was rather hard to say if she was doing this because Tsung told her to, or she was using that as an excuse and was really enjoying beating the stuffing out of the banker.

"I am your father, you ungrateful bi-" He was cut off by yet another attack to his body. His nose was bleeding profusely, obviously broken. His stomach was cramped from getting hit twice.

Tsung just laughed, smiling, nodding with approval as he watched Alice continue with her display of violent skills. It was quite efficient. "Good.. very good.."

The man groaned with each strike down to him. He'd been basically defenseless, any attempt to block was thwarted successfully. This was so unreal. He grunted out, "You bitch!" In desperation, he swatted his hand out, hopefully aiming for the side of her face.

Alice saw the 'attack' coming from a mile away, and she slapped it aside as though it were a fly.

She frowned. "I don't like it when people insult me." Okay, so her mother did call her 'Spawn' on occasion, but it was never as an insult..if she was mad at her she'd just call her by full name.

Alice pulls him up, delivering double, triple kicks to his midsection, head and collar bone.

"I'll do worse than insult you, you little China whore-" He was unable to finish as he felt a few more painful strikes to his body, feeling the urge to vomit from the pain in his gut. He laid on his back, gasping from the broken bones. "How.. how much?? I can.. pay you..."

Shang just laughed at that. "Oh, believe me. Something will be taken from you. But it won't be money." He looked at his daughter then. Finish him!!"

Alice resisted the urge to express the giddiness she felt. Though she was no stranger to causing injury, her father had never actually told her to 'finish' her opponent.

She stood up, executing an ax kick straight to the man's throat without breaking a sweat. The kick was supposed to have been fatal, but she deliberately stopped the kick short of breaking the man's neck, instead crushing he throat, cutting off his oxygen supply.

Had he been left at that, it would've been a slow and painful way to die, but he wouldn't live that long anyway.
