Who: Severus Snape and Lily Evans What: A meeting When/Where: Early afternoon; Parking lot in Manchester industrial area Warnings: Some naughty language, adult themes?
He'd found it, that lot that in his world was a dilapidated old graveyard that he'd spent many a night at hiding from his angry father or simply reading, but here it was paved over. Just a parking lot. It was fitting in some fashion, though it made him wish he had the nerve to try and drive the car he'd found the keys for in his flat. They'd look suspicious just milling about in the open like that.
Most of his new wardrobe offended him but it fit, so he'd dressed in a white tee with a black blazer over it and a pair of jeans and was done with it. Hands sunk deep into the pockets of the coat, he stood on a wide, empty expanse of black asphalt and waited, feeling queasy and anxious about seeing Lily again, but no doubt excited just the same.
He'd watched her funeral from afar, he'd mourned her death, and then he'd just lied to her about his age to dodge the subject, but here she was in this world. Alive. He had a second chance, maybe. How couldn't he be nervous? he had no idea what these other's had told her. Sure, of her death, of her pregnancy... but what of his feelings?
If she knew and it had impacted her so very little.... He gave a sigh, intent on forgetting those questions, at least for the moment. He really did need to find his place in that new world and she could help, regardless of their past or his unrequited affections.
"Where are you?" he asked the empty air. He'd walked. Maybe she'd come and gone already.
