Nodding, she reached to rub his arm lightly. "I think it is for any art, really. Finishing it, deciding there's nothing left to tweak, is somewhat akin to sending a child out into the world to be judged by others. But I think with all things eventually you've got to decide to wash your hands of it, letting it loose. But then I'm hardly an artist of any sort, much less a writer."
