"I wouldn't blame you. I am irresistible." She took her bag and headed for the door. And once in the hallway, she waited for him to lock the door behind them. They were outside a few minutes later.
The portkey was just a few blocks away and the walk was a good one. Gar tended to talk a bit more than Rose. She was in a good enough mood that she really laughed at most of his jokes and only shook her head at the bad ones. The nearest portkey was a banged up trashcan lid in a not-so-well-lit alley. Before touching it, Rose leaned in and gave Gar a quick kiss on the cheek. "Happy Valentine's Day, Gar." She walked the distance to the portkey, making sure to keep a sway to her step. She wanted him to watch her go because she liked making an exit. There was a small wave and then she touched the lid. She was gone within seconds. Once she was sure she was out of his view, her face broke into a very bright smile.
"Good day," she said quietly to herself once she landed in London.
