Sam was bouncy as he waited for Gani. He had asked her out to the large museum near ESU because he thought it might be fun to wander some of the more interesting artifacts and exhibits. And really, anything done with her was fun.

He smoothed down his clothing nervously for the tenth time. He was trying, these days, to look his best. He wanted her to know he valued her time, always, and he loved making her smile.

So he waited, and grinned, and his eyes shone as he pondered showing her all the exhibits... or most anyway.

Ganieda was greatly looking forward to their outing. Lately, time has been taken up with study on Sam's side, and work on her side, and it was nice to get out and do something fun. And the nightmares, while less--and less severe--still bothered her at times.

But today would be a lovely day--as days were, when she was with Sam. She brushed her hair back into a ponytail and made sure she looked nice. He made her feel so pretty and attractive that she always enjoyed dressing and looking good.

She came out of the bathroom into the living room. "Sorry I took so long."

He bounced as he saw her and kissed her, hands stroking her shoulders.

"Not long at all, love. Ready to go?"

He whistled as he surveyed her.

"I am ready." She blushed when he whistled at her. "And apparently, you think so too," she said in amusement.

She did love him greatly. He was so sweet to her.

He bounced as he kissed her, taking her hand.

"You are so beautiful love."

He led the way out of the place, and to the elevator, more than glad to hold her hand the whole way.

It felt so nice and innocent to hold hands, and she walked with him, leaning her head against him.

"And you are very handsome."

She kissed his cheek. "I am very much looking forward to this, Sam. I have not been to a museum before."

"Thank you, love. And I hope you like it."

He grinned.

"It is sure to be an interesting adventure."

She rubbed her hand over his arm as they walked.

He blushed and bounced. Away from the elevator and to the front door.

"I have a surprise."

Outside the door, a horse-drawn carriage awaited.

"Our ride, madame."

He held her hand and led the way, smiling as they entered the next exhibit, a little ways up the line from hers, and he waved a hand, talking about what little he knew.

The next room, though, was far worse, for it showed the darkest age, when the black plague struck and millions died. Death was everywhere, and he shivered as he told her of it and led her through it, to the next one, a re-dawning of civilization that would lead to industrialization and an Renaissance of art.

She listened in fascination, her mind going back to the last plague she'd seen...it couldn't hold a candle to this great Black Plague.

The Renaissance room was simply grand, and it was nice to shake off the last room in an almost frivolous display of art and culture.

He hugged her close, as they walked, the industrial age truly taking hold after the Renaissance, and more and more nerw things showing up... until World War 1 arrived.

He shivered.

He hated wars a lot.

"A lot of it is guess work now, but this was the War that started a lot of modern times. Modernization, weapons, cars, planes, a lot of our ways of living began in the fires of that conflict."

He shook his head.

"This one paled however, in the remark to the next one."

"It seems," she said sadly, "that men have gotten more skilled at killing each other through history."

She shuddered. She'd seen just enough killing in her life to never want to see it again.

The time she had lived in was quite violent.

He hugged her and led her quickly past world war 2 and into more modern history, the arts section.

"A lot of good has come about, and a lot of musics, and arts..."

He smiled softly.

"Men have learned how to make things, too."

She smiled at him. "Hopefully, making more things than destroying them," she says softly. She looked up at him. "I know that you are wonderful with your creations."

She's still thinking of the little mechanical kitten he'd made for her.

He stroked her face and kissed her again.

"Now, on to other places in here..."

The museum held exhibits on science as well, on robots, which he peered at and oooed at, and Halloween customs, and more.

"I've decided that I want to help the elders of this world. No one seems to respect them and it seems that they are so very forgotten. I...want to help them not be forgotten, and to spend their last days in as much comfort as I can give. At least some of them, anyway."

She looks thoughtful. "Now to figure out how to do such a thing, of course..."

"I have to figure that part out...I was thinking of a couple of things, for instance, perhaps doing interviews, finding out their histories, their knowledge that will be forgotten if no one takes it down."

She leans her head on her hand. "But then, of course, there's the health needs...I know there are places here that give services but...maybe I could help them find the things they need." She sighed. "There's so much I could be doing...I could also work with children, the homeless..." She sighs. "There's too many people who need help in the world."

He nodded and stroked her hair.

"Well... Then research it is. You can learn what is needed and what the laws are, and what is out there..."

He smiled at her.

"Or maybe a little of it all. You could start a charitable foundation..."
