Who: Raven and Navi
What: Pre-Valentine's Day Romance. Fluff. Okay, a proposal. Blame commercialism.
When/Where: Tonight, PST, Raven's place in British Columbia
Warnings: Saccharine overload? Romance. Clichés. Beware!
In retrospect, Raven did feel the cliché of the whole situation was a little overwhelming, but really. It wasn't his fault that his crazy idea fell right on the holiday. In fact, it was probably the holiday's fault. And he wasn't going to be shown up by something as petty as a date.
He'd left a note for Navi asking her to meet him out at his- their- new house that night. Which, he had realized the next morning, was a Friday the 13th. More irony for the ages, but he was already decided about it. To call it off would look even more suspicious than it already did. So he just gathered everything he wanted, got the food started (outdoors- no need to set the builders back a few months by burning down the kitchen), and moved over to the window to wait. The breeze was chilled, but not too cold for what he had planned. At least he hoped.
It was there- the last minute impulse to call her, to call it all off. Nervous- great skies he was nervous, like some school boy. But wasn't that part of the fun? Would that go away if he talked it all out with her? She was probably halfway there, already. Nothing to be done except wait, and hope.
