Fire.

She was burning up, and she was in pain, every part of her wailing with it. Voices echoed in her mind, voices from past, present, future...but which was which and who was speaking?

Ganieda struggled, not being able to move her arms, bound tightly as they were behind her back. All she can do is set things on fire and scream for her brother...

...but he was not coming, this time.

Somehow, she managed to crawl her way over, under a pew, hiding there, though the pain and fire and why was she burning?

Somehow, Ganieda ended up under the desk in the bedroom, covered in sweat and incredibly hot. Her eyes were wide and unseeing, her cheeks tearstreaked. And she whimpered and moaned. "Let me go, let me alone..."

	Sam had come home from school and was peering around when he heard her, and charged into the room. "Gani? Love?" He gently touched her, stroking her face. "Baby?" He drew her out of the desk and hugged her. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	She did not hug back. She was still lost. "Have to get out, they can't...too much power, too much fire." As she said that, the gas stove flickered on, the flames leaping up high for a moment. Her body was like a stove. "What do I do..." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	He hugged her very hard and shuddered, letting himself react even as he stroked her body, trying to convey simple home-ness. "Hey, it's okay. We need to get you warm.Come on." He lifted her in his arms, staggering and then carrying her to their bedroom, and gently moving to help strip her from wet clothes. "Are you okay?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Yes, but if I got in your way, you may never get any studying done...that would rather defeat the purpose." She stroked his hair gently. "But it is cold outside and I would rather you come home and study where it is warm and safe." She knows he can take care of himself...but that doesn't stop her from worrying about him. 	"Well, if I got in your way, that would rather defeat the purpose of you studying at home." She smoothed back his hair a little. "It's cold now, and I would wish that you would stay here to study, where it is warm and safe." She knows he can take care of himself, but that doesn't prevent her worrying about him.
