The surgery itself didn't take long. There were no complications, and Landon Spencer Chase Angel was born at 3:24 in the afternoon of February 14, 2008. Due to his small size and immature organs, Landon was placed immediately in an incubator designed to mimic the womb. Caleb and Pete were allowed to see him only briefly before he was whisked away to be settled in the NICU.
