Karen's wit definitely came from Pete, and he had a comment on the tip of his tongue about how much a hopsital that wasn't familiar with him would pay him to fly cross country to operate on someone, but he kept it to himself, no sense pissing him off.
"Oh well, yes of course. I'm sure you'll be paid generously. Karen always did say you were the best of the best."
