Rurik seemed to be holding himself together, though on the inside he was terribly close to a break down. He pulled an unnecessary breath to try and steel himself. He didn't want to make a scene in front of Kai, the boy, or the general public.

Gatlin pushed off the wall where he stood, and nodded. His left hand went to the back of his neck as he moved a few steps closer to the pair.
