Who: Pietro and Anya (who are Erik and Erica at the moment) What: Meeting for the first time When: Yesterday
It had been a long time since Erik had really felt nervous. To say that he even felt nervous while waiting for his granddaughter to find him might have been pushing it. But there was a quiet little rumble in the pit of his stomach, butterflies were fluttering about there and it didn't seem likely they'd stop until he saw the girl.
To say her appearance had caught him off guard would be an understatement. When she'd revealed that Anya was alive, he'd nearly bent a nearby metal chair accidentally. Fortunate for him - and whoever owned the apartment in which he currently loitered - that he had superb control over himself and his powers.
Before Erica had made contact, Erik had had every intention of patrolling this world and possibly rebuilding it in his image. But she'd floored him enough that he'd put aside his concern for all of mutantkind. And anyway, it seemed from all the news channels that Lorna had been right and that this world wasn't like the one they knew so well. Mutants weren't suffering, so Erik figured he could put his worries aside and focus on his family. It'd been so long since he'd done so.
As he waited for Erica, regally sitting back in a chair he'd created, he wondered if this might be a trap. He could only find out by meeting her. And from there, he'd figure out what his next move would be.
