who. Clark and Mia Kent what. Meeting for the first time. Kinda. when. Tonight where. Space, the final frontier. No. Srsly. why. She misses her daddy. He wants to get to know her.
It wasn't often that Mia went out for a fly with the intent to save the day. Superheroing had been outlawed by her dad back home. Their Clark had put his foot down very early on letting John and Mia know that they weren't allowed to don capes until they were of age. That rule had been so indoctrinated into Mia that even though she routinely stopped while she flew from place to place to help people in need, she didn't really ever make nights of fighting crime. And when she did, she almost never made an announcement about it.
But she'd been in a weird mood, restless and lonesome. Her brother was dating and though she was extremely happy that he'd found someone, she had to fight to keep happy around him. She didn't want to harsh his buzz. Because she was feeling selfish. Her own boy troubles weighed her down. Added to the mix was a quiet homesickness that she just couldn't shake. Jon deserved to be happy. Mia thought herself a bad big sister to be emo in the face of his squee.
So she went out on her own and spent half the night tying up criminals and leaving them for police to find. She saved people who were in burning buildings and stopped cars whose breaks went out in the middle of the road. Half the time she did it invisible, which was a special power that only she possessed in the family (to her knowledge) and half the time, she made herself known to the people she saved. It depended mostly on her mood at the time of the crimes.
And then she'd heard from Clark. Mia had been the one to initiate contact because she was homesick. Whenever she'd been in a bad state back home, a few words from her dad would have been able to cheer her up instantly. It had always been Jon and Mia and Clark. And now that their father wasn't anywhere to be found, Mia didn't know what to do with herself. She couldn't go to Jon with the things she'd normally speak to Clark about. It just didn't work that way. So she'd messaged the Clark who wasn't her dad, but reminded her of him enough to make her heart ache a little. And before nerves could stop her, she asked if they could meet.
Mia flew to the point between the moon and the Earth were the pull was weakest and looked down on her planet. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the distant rays of sunlight that hit her back. She hoped to open her eyes and find her father standing before her.
