Marco just snorted derisively at that. "Who the hell came up with that idea, anyway? I mean sure, sharing knowledge is great, but nobody just gives it away." He thought about the Andalites. As cool as they were, they definitely qualified, at least in the beginning.

"Anxious?" He considered that. Out of all the things Tobias could have said, anxious was what he chose. The fact that he didn't say 'excited' seemed, in Marco's mind, to indicate that it was unexpected, though he wasn't sure. "Were we, I mean...were we trying for it? Or did it just happen?" He smiled and nodded at the contingency plan. He didn't mistake it for anything other than that.

Marco nodded in understanding and took up a position in front of the alley, doing a pretty good job of blocking off sight of it. "G'head in, I'll cover you."
