Quentin just wanted to rest, and relax. Sophie would be here soon.
Oh wow... Sophie would really be here soon!
Sure, it was a different one than he had known, younger, without precognition, but... still, she was as beautiful, and as intelligent, and as wonderful as he remembered.
He just wanted to do the right thing, and be her friend, and well, let life decide if anything more happened. Tonight was talking, and communicating. And... he groaned and shut away his deeper emotions and his memories of his other Sophie behind an ironclad wall.
He would be fair to her. She deserved all he had to give, and she would get it.
